Joy-Anna Duggar just set herself apart from her sisters on social media. The 19-year-old newlywed has joined Instagram, and her account differs from those of the other married Duggar girls in one major way.
On May 31, Jessa Duggar used her popular Instagram account to alert her followers about Joy-Anna joining social media. Jessa revealed her younger sister’s Instagram username and shared a screenshot of the first photo that was posted on her account, a sweet snapshot of Joy-Anna cuddling up with her new husband, 23-year-old Austin Forsyth.
“So in love!” Jessa captioned the image.
All of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s adult children who have joined social media have been in relationships, so there seems to be a family rule forbidding single Duggars from having their own Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook accounts. Josh Duggar joined Twitter in October 2009, a few days after he and his wife, Anna, welcomed their first child. Jill and Jessa Duggar were both allowed to join social media soon after they entered into courtships with their future husbands, and Josiah Duggar created an Instagram account when he began courting family friend Marjorie Jackson. As Radar Online reports, Josiah deleted all photos with Marjorie in them after he got dumped, and he hasn’t posted anything on the account since December 2015.
Jinger Duggar didn’t rush to create a Twitter and Instagram account as soon as she was in a relationship. As In Touch Weekly reports, Jinger waited until she and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, had been married six months before joining social media. Joy-Anna also decided to wait until she was a married woman to create an Instagram account, but hers appeared just a few days after her May 26 wedding.
As you can see, Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth have created a couple’s Instagram account under the username @austinandjoyforsyth. However, Austin is the only one who has posted anything on it so far. The account already has over 135,000 followers, and a few of these fans have expressed their disappointment that Joy-Anna didn’t get to create her own Instagram page. There’s even speculation that her husband forbid her from doing so.
“Soooo…… she isn’t allowed her own Instagram like Jill, Jessa and Jinger? Shame,” wrote one fan.
“Congrats yall also why doesn’t joy have her own insta?” another asked.
However, some of Joy-Anna and Austin’s followers don’t see anything sinister about the newlyweds sharing an Instagram account. They argued that it’s something that many couples do.
“Maybe she just doesn’t want her own? Lots of couple share social media accounts. It’s not a bad thing,” one fan commented.

Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth’s first Instagram photo was snapped inside a car, so some of their followers have surmised that the couple took it before heading off on their honeymoon . Joy-Anna and Austin haven’t shared their honeymoon plans, but they may be taking a long road trip.
“We are going to be traveling for our honeymoon for awhile,” Joy-Anna said, as reported by Just Jared .
Jessa Duggar suggested that Joy-Anna and Austin don’t have a specific destination in mind. According to the International Business Times , Joy-Anna’s family has no idea where the newlyweds are going.
“I think the honeymoon is going to be really, really special, just getting to spend that time together,” Jessa said in a TLC video. “I don’t even know where they’re going, honestly, but I know it’s going to be exciting.”
Perhaps they’ll be visiting different campsites around the country for their honeymoon. As the Inquisitr previously reported, their wedding registry did include a lot of camping gear, and Austin loves camping so much that he convinced Joy-Anna to invite their friends and family members to go camping with them for a joint bachelor and bachelorette party.
Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth may be winging it on their honeymoon, but they know exactly what they’re going to do when they return home to Arkansas. People reports that they’re going to get busy building their own house, so those camping tents might come in handy while they work.
