Nicki Minaj Secures Nas Collaboration For New Album Amid Dating Reports: Is The Couple Hooking Up?

Nicki Minaj is certainly dating Nas, it has been reported, leading fans to assume that the rapper will be featured on the “Super Bass” hitmaker’s new album.

Nicki Minaj has been teasing her social media followers for months about her forthcoming record, which she has confirmed will be hitting stores later this year.

Though she hasn’t revealed much about the status of her album and who is going to be featured on the songs she plans to release in due time, fans are beginning to get the impression that with Nicki Minaj now being in a relationship with Nas, it’s likely that the duo will collaborate together.

This, of course, wouldn’t be the first time that Nicki Minaj and Nas have worked in the studio, having previously gotten together for the 34-year-old’s “Championships” track in 2012.

According to Hollywood Life, Nicki Minaj has been nothing but focused on this new record she plans to release in just a couple of months’ time. From what’s been gathered, she’s certainly not done choosing songs that will make the final cut, but she’s nearing her deadline.

A source tells the outlet that Nas and Nicki Minaj have gone into the studio together on multiple occasions. It’s unclear whether or not they are working on music together for her album, but considering that they have had several sessions in the booth together, it seems rather obvious that a collaborative effort is certainly in the works.

The insider adds by saying that Nicki Minaj is treating the studio sessions with Nas like date nights. Since she’s taking it slow with her new man, she’s going for a rather subtle approach with the iconic rapper — especially since she’s very committed to being with the 43-year-old.

Nicki Minaj has made it no secret that she’s not looking to rush into anything, having previously said that her intentions after splitting with Meek Mill were to remain celibate for at least a year. But now with Nas in the picture, she’s changed her mind — that still doesn’t mean that she’s willing to rush into a relationship for the sake of sex.

If she wants to make her new relationship work, she wants to take it one day at a time, and according to sources, Nas is completely down with that approach. He cares enough about Nicki Minaj to take it step by step.

“Nas and Nicki [Minaj] aren’t going out publicly, they’re not at that stage yet, they’re just hanging right now,” an insider reveals.

“They hang at each other’s pads or at the recording studio. Nas would love to wine and dine Nicki, give her the full treatment, but she’s keeping it cool for now. Of course, Nas would love to date Nicki officially, he’s made that crystal clear to her, but he’s happy, and making do, with the way things are for now.”

During her appearance on Ellen in May, Nicki Minaj made it known that she has had several sleepovers at her boyfriend’s home, BET recalls, before adding that she hadn’t done “the dirty” yet, explaining that while she had hoped to remain single, she happened to fall in love with a man she’s very connected to.

Sources conclude by saying that Nicki Minaj’s relationship with her new man is progressing at a nice pace, but it’s evidently clear that neither one of them is ready to make any public outings with one another just yet. They are just enjoying being in each other’s presence for the most part.

Should fans find out that Nas will be featured on Nicki Minaj’s new album, it certainly wouldn’t come as a surprise to them.
