Orlando Bloom’s Mother Defends Actor’s Racist Remarks, He Reveals Why He Needs A Wife

Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales star Orlando Bloom’s mother recently sent an updated C.V. of her son to a local newspaper after Katy Perry’s ex-boyfriend described himself as a “pikey from Kent” and angered many of his fans. Recently, Orlando also talked those leaked penis pictures, which somehow made the top headlines back in 2016, and why after ending his multiple relationships he needs a wife.

Orlando found himself at the center of a race storm after his interview on Nick Grimshaw’s Radio 1 Breakfast Show. BBC News was forced to apologize after the star described himself as a “pikey from Kent.”

Orlando Bloom’s mother, Sonia Copeland Bloom, is keen to showcase her actor son’s achievement after Miranda Kerr’s former husband made some inappropriate remarks. The proud mother sent a copy of the 40-year-old’s C.V. to various newsrooms. The four-page document from 75-year-old Sonia describes her son’s “meteoric rise to fame” and also included quotes from earlier reviews about his acting.

As reported by Marie Claire, Sonia Copeland, a former journalist, has listed her son’s filmography in the detailed document as well as his honorary degree at the University of Kent, his humanitarian awards, and patronage of the New Marlow Youth Theatre.

Sonia also listed Orlando’s nine O-levels and his degree from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

In an accompanying note, she writes, “I have the pleasure in enclosing a copy of C.V. which is both up to date and 100 percent accurate.”

In a letter published in the Kentish Gazette, Sonia rushed to her son’s defense, saying, “Orlando, I feel sure, was referring to the fact he enjoys mixing with people from all walks of life.”

Before his mother sent his updated C.V. to newsrooms, Orlando himself officially apologized, saying he was not making fun at travelers.

“I’ve come from Kent and I grew up with a lot of, like, freewheeling, cool, interesting characters like that. I certainly wasn’t taking a slant at that at all. I’m very respectful.”

In addition to this, Orlando recently talked about settling down. After divorcing actress Miranda Kerr, Orlando embarked on a few high-profile relationships. Now it looks like the 40-year-old is all set to marry again.

Orlando made this revelation during an interview with Extra’s host A. J. Calloway. Admiring Calloway’s rose pin on his suit, when the presenter told him it was a gift from his wife, Orlando said the following.

“I need a wife. Can you get me a wife? I want a wife — that’s what I’m looking for, a wife that will get me a pin like that.”

Moreover, he also revealed his true feelings when he found out that his nude pictures had leaked online. Back in 2016, when Bloom was madly in love with the “Rise” singer, he decided to go on a secret getaway with her. The couple decided to visit Italy to spend some quality time together. During their vacation, the actor was spotted by the paparazzi canoeing in the nude. The photographer clicked the pictures of Bloom’s penis, and within hours, the pictures made headlines around the world.

According to Fox News, Bloom explained that he never intended to be photographed in such an appropriate way. According to him, he was surprised to see that the photographer found the exact time to shoot his pictures when he chose to ditch his clothes.

“I wouldn’t have put myself in that position if I’d thought it would happen. I’ve been photographed a million times in a million different ways. I have a good radar. We’d been completely alone for five days—nothing around us. There was no way anyone could get anything,” Katy Perry’s ex-boyfriend explained. “I had a moment of feeling free.”
