Brad Pitt is reportedly taking the next step in order to move on from his relationship with Angelina Jolie. The actor is allegedly planning to have all of his tattoos that pertain to his ex-wife removed from his body.
According to report, Brad has Angelina’s birthday inked on his “groin,” some “squiggles” on his back that Jolie doodled on him while they were allegedly lying naked in bed, a matching tattoo with his ex-wife from a Thai monk meant to “bind them spiritually,” and the geographical coordinates of Jolie’s birthplace.
The Hollywood Gossip reports that Brad Pitt isn’t simply having the tattoos covered with new ink in order to hide them — he is actually planning on going through the process of removing the ink from his skin, which is considered to be a bit painful.

“He’s making appointments to remove the tattoos he got for Angie. He’s ready for a fresh start and wants that reflected on his skin.”
However, if the tattoo removal leaves large scars or is too painful, sources claim that Brad Pitt may give in and have the tattoos covered up with new ink, and the insider adds that the process could take up to an entire year to be completed.
“It’s going to take at least a year to get rid of them, and they’ll leave scars,” added the source. “He may just cover them up, but he has so many about Angie, he’ll end up needing a lot of huge pieces.”
However, Brad’s decision to get rid of some of his tattoos seems to be a page out of his ex-wife’s book. Back in October, it was reported that Angelina Jolie was planning to have her Brad Pitt-inspired tattoos removed.
“She’s got Brad’s birthplace co-ordinates on her arm, plus a romantic design they both got for each other in Cambodia, and she wants them both gone,” an insider revealed.
Angelina Jolie is no stranger to tattoo removal after a split. In the past, she’s had ink taken off her skin from former tributes to her romantic partners, including ex-husband Billy Bob Thornton.
“She’s vowed to never ever get another romance-related tattoo again as this isn’t the first time she’s had to go through this,” an insider said.
As many fans know, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie filed for divorce back in September. The couple, who share six children together, three adopted and three biological — Maddox, 15; Pax, 12; Zahara, 11; Shiloh, 10; and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8 — released a statement about their split after Jolie filed the papers.
“Angelina Jolie Pitt has filed for dissolution of the marriage,” Jolie’s rep said in a statement at the time. “This decision was made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting at this time, and asks that the family be given their privacy during this difficult time.”

After the divorce bombshell dropped, rumors began to circulate that Brad Pitt’s drinking may have led to the end of his marriage with Angelina Jolie.
“I was boozing too much. It’s just become a problem. And I’m really happy it’s been half a year now, which is bittersweet, but I’ve got my feelings in my fingertips again. Truthfully I could drink a Russian under the table with his own vodka. I was a professional. I was good,” Pitt told GQ .
Things got so bad for the actor that Child Protective Services was called to evaluate his parenting after the split.
“I was really on my back and chained to a system when Child Services was called. And you know, after that, we’ve been able to work together to sort this out,” Pitt revealed.
