Glenn Beck, Vince Vaughn Team Up For New TV Show
Glenn Beck and Vince Vaughn will be teaming up for a new show on TheBlaze TV.
According to Fox News, Vaughn and Beck will be working together to produce a new reality show about documentary filmmakers called Pursuit of Truth. The show is expected to hit the air in 2013 on Glenn Beck’s TheBlaze TV.
The website says that Pursuit of Truth will “bring together twenty selected filmmakers from across the country to prove to a panel of expert judges that their project is worthy of the grand prize — financing and worldwide distribution for their feature documentary film idea.”
Beck said on Wednesday:
“I am proud to announce that Vince Vaughn and I are going to be the executive producers … That should make everybody’s head spin. What the hell is Vince Vaughn doing with a crazy man? I know, that’s what my friends say. Glenn, what are you doing with the crazy man Vince Vaughn?”
Vaughn and Beck, as well as Peter Billingsley of Wild West Productions and Gary Auebach of Go Go Luckey Entertainment, will start casting the show next month.
Billingsley said:
“Getting any film beyond the idea stage has become increasingly difficult these days, especially for documentary filmmakers that want to shine a light and make a difference. Our goal is to create a powerful annual platform to help filmmakers tell important and engaging stories.”
So what type of documentaries are they looking for? Vaughn hasn’t commented yet but Beck said that he wanted to see something about capitalism.
Beck said:
“I’d love to see something on the Federal Reserve, the game that’s being played there. I would love to see something on why capitalism is actually a good thing, why it’s not a bad thing.”
Are you surprised that Glenn Beck and Vince Vaughn will be producing a show together? Are you excited for Pursuit of Truth?
