Kim Kardashian Disappoints Kris Humphries Again: Hates That She Called Their Marriage A Failure
It looks like Kim Kardashian has hurt Kris Humphries’ feelings yet again. During her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Kim opened up about her brief marriage to Humphries. During the no-holds-barred Q&A session on the show called Plead the Fifth, Andy asked Kim if she married Kris thinking that their relationship would last forever.
“At the time…I just thought, ‘Holy s***, I’m 30 years old, I better get this together. I better get married,” she said of the hasty marriage which only lasted 72 days. Kim then admitted that she knew it wasn’t going to work out during their honeymoon.
According to Hollywood Life, that admission did not go over well with Kris Humphries.
“Kris [Humphries] does not like to hear about his exes, especially Kim [Kardashian], but her comments on TV this week has him a little embarrassed and upset,” an alleged NBA insider told the site.
“He feels like it was not cool at all. Kris has been really respectful of her privacy since their split and can’t understand why she wouldn’t do the same. Kris expects more class from Kim and is disappointed she would talk about their marriage like that.”
Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries got engaged in May 2011 and they got married in August 2011
The ups and downs- mostly downs of the Kris Humphries-Kim Kardashian relationship were pretty well-documented on KUWTK and its spin-offs. One of the biggest issues that divided them was where to live and raise their kids after their wedding. Due to the nature of her career, Kim wanted to remain in Los Angeles. Kris, on the other hand, wanted to move back to his home state of Minnesota to start a family. So, their desires for the future couldn’t have been more diametrically opposite.
In 2012, Kim Kardashian did a sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey where she discussed the decisions which led to the dissolution of her short-lived marriage. In one part of the interview, Oprah asked her if she got married to boost the ratings of her reality show. Kim said no.
“The tough decision to end that relationship was such a risk of losing ratings and losing my fan base and I had to take that risk for my inner peace and to be happy with myself” she said.
“I think obviously when people first meet and they fall in love, everything is great in the beginning” she added.
“For me, I don’t think I spent more than a full week with my ex [Kris Humphries] before we got married. We never lived together so once we moved in together and I saw how our relationship was and I started to see things that I wasn’t aware of before… Once he moved in I knew that he was not the one.”
