George Clooney Skips Humanitarian Award Ceremony To Be With Amal During The Childbirth
Paternity is indeed upon George Clooney, 56, who has skipped a philanthropic award function, “Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity Ceremonial” in Yerevan, Armenia to be with his wife, Amal at home who is expecting twins and due for delivery in the first week of June. The artist turned altruist and activist, Clooney sent a short video message to the Prize Ceremonial to explain the reason for his absence in the occasion. Through the video, he stated that he really would have been in Yerevan for the award show. However, his wife, Amal Clooney, is expecting twins. Her delivery is due in the first week of June. During the clip, he quipped that if he attended the function and his wife, Amal has twins delivered while he was there in Yerevan, he would have missed the delivery and would not able to reach home on time.
One of the sources stated that the couple is eagerly waiting for the little ones to come. They are counting down each day. Every day, one of soon-to-be parent predicts the delivery, but it doesn’t happen. Further, the source added that Clooney’s wife, Amal is fine. She is fit, very much enthusiastic and eagerly awaiting to enter into the phase of motherhood. She is enjoying the stage to the full. She is taking things calmly and at ease. Presently, she is formally on maternity leave.
His wife, Amal Alamuddin (her birth name) is British – Lebanese Human Rights lawyer. The couple got engaged in April 2014. They both were formally married to each other on September 27, 2014, at Ca’ Farsetti. The couple was married by Clooney’s close pal named Walter Veltroni, who is the former Mayor of Rome. The news of the couple’s pregnancy was made official by CBS talk show, The Talk, on February 09, 2017.
Clooney doesn’t have any kids from his first marriage with Talia Balsam which lasted for only four years and numerous other relationships. Precisely this is the reason for his much impatience and excitement for the kids. This is the first time Clooney is going to become a parent and that too with twins. We very well understand Clooney’s emotions and anxiousness on entering into another stage of life i.e. paternity.
The couple is still stuck to decide on the names of the babies. They haven’t come up with any names of their kids, but they will soon pick up few names. The couple is presently staying in London, till Amal delivers the kids. Post-delivery, the parents will figure out their personal and work schedules accordingly. As of now, they both are just squatting down for some time.
The previous year, Clooney was present in the award ceremony. He served as the co- chair of the “Aurora Prize Selection Committee.” Clooney is the co-founder of the Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity Award. On behalf of the stayers of the Armenian Massacre and in gratitude to their rescuers, the Aurora Prize honoree, tributes every year (in the memory of the eight years of the Armenian massacre 1915 to 1923) from the year 2015 to 2023. The organization requests the US $100,000 along with the distinctive chance to carry on the series of giving by recommending groups that encouraged their effort for a US $1,000,000 honor. Beneficiaries are acknowledged for the remarkable impression of their movements on protecting lives of people and progressing with philanthropic grounds.
