T.I. & Tiny: Could T.I. & Bernice Burgos Land Own Reality Show As ‘Family Hustle’ Ends?
T.I. and Tiny Harris’s VH1 series T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle ended after 100 episodes on May 29 and saw the couple confirm once and for all that they’re getting a divorce, but could their reality TV drama continue as the rapper reportedly grows closer to Instagram model Bernice Burgos?
In the Season 6 finale of the couple’s reality show, fans watched T.I. (also known as TIP) reveal that he and Tiny (Tameka Cottle) would be going their separate ways and confirmed that he was actually “happy” to be divorcing his wife of seven years who he began dating in 2000 amid reports of a new romance with Bernice.
“A part of me is happy to close this chapter, simply because I feel we outgrew each other,” T.I. said of his divorce during the finale of T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle. “I feel she grew in a different direction, you know, and I did too.”
The two then appeared to draw a line under the romantic relationship with a toast on the reality show after both accused the other of cheating – Tiny claimed T.I. and Bernice slept together while they were still married while the rapper accused Harris of getting too close to his enemy Floyd Mayweather – but the drama may not be over just yet.
It’s possible that fans haven’t seen the last of Tiny and T.I.’s marriage drama despite the show wrapping for good after six seasons as VH1 is now teasing that they would be open to a spinoff from the series, which could mean T.I. could continue with a show of his own which may feature Bernice.
VH1’s head of unscripted television Nina Diaz teased that fans could potentially see much more of T.I. and Tiny’s marriage and divorce drama despite the show ending, telling Deadline that the network wants “to continue to be in business with Tameka and Tip.”
“You never know,” Diaz then continued when asked about a possible Family Hustle spinoff amid the drama surrounding Tiny, T.I. and Bernice. “We love them and we love all of the kids. We love what they have shared and what they stand for and we would love to continue to see what evolves and develops.”
“It’s an incredible legacy,” she continued of T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle coming to an end after six seasons. “We’ve had a great partnership with Tip and Tameka. Their family has been a cultural touchstone, they are the lovable first family of VH1.”
After the finale aired, viewers were quick to claim that T.I.’s next move could well be a reality show with Bernice amid rumors the two are officially dating in the wake of Tiny’s divorce filing, as Hollywood Life claimed Burgos only has eyes for TIP.
“T.I. [is definitely] going to have a reality show with Bernice next year and that s*** going to be [fire],” @JROC_410 tweeted of T.I. and Burgos potentially landing a spinoff show together amid his and Harris’s divorce.
VH1 haven’t commented further amid speculation of a reality show for TIP and Burgos, though if the network do decide to produce a spinoff, there’s no doubting that there’s plenty of drama to be captured by the cameras.
Tiny and Bernice have made no secret of their disdain for each other before Harris claiming on the reality show’s finale that she believes T.I. and the Instagram model were together before they separated and she filed for divorce – something both Burgos and TIP have denied.
Back in April, Bernice posted a video of herself singing along to “Just Kickin’ It” — a song by Tiny’s band Xscape — to her official Instagram account, after which Tiny clapped back with a scathing message amid the cheating rumors.
“Funny… that man [you’re] speaking of was laid up with his wife last night,” Tiny responded in a comment per Bossip while referring to T.I. before she then told Burgos to “quit being petty.”
“If [you’re] so laid up with him then why [are you] so pressed about me?” Bernice then hit back on the social media site.
The two then allegedly got into another argument during a phone call a few weeks later as Hollywood Life claimed that Bernice called T.I.’s office number and Tiny picked up.
“[Tiny] was yelling and screaming louder than and fire truck in traffic,” an insider claimed of the drama, alleging that Harris then accused Burgos of “ruining” her marriage to TIP and causing their divorce.
Bernice then allegedly slammed Tiny again earlier his week amid their feud after reportedly claiming that she believes she’s better suited to the rapper than his wife of seven years.
