Dwayne Johnson’s ‘Wife For 2020 Election’ Allison Hammond Beats Girlfriend Lauren Hashian To The Rock’s Ring

Dwayne Johnson’s “wife” will be Allison Hammond if the British star can ever finish reading the extra-long prenup agreement for their marriage. The Rock’s girlfriend has been Lauren Hashian for the past 10 years, but This Morning’s Hammond tried to pull a fast one ahead of the 2020 election by filling in early for the role of the first lady. As part of the comedy skit, she even pulled an engagement ring out of nowhere and proposed to the WWE wrestler on the spot.

This whole strange episode began when The Rock’s 2020 presidential aspirations were made public during a Saturday Night Live monologue.

“I just want to say once and for all, I’m in. Starting tonight, I’m running for the President of the United States,” Dwayne said before going on to take a jab at President Donald Trump. “In the past, I never would have considered running for president. I didn’t think I was qualified at all. But now, I’m actually worried that I’m too qualified.”

Of course, if you’re running for president in 2020, then you need a vice presidential candidate. Alec Baldwin came scurrying onto the stage to nick the VP pick, but Johnson ignored Baldwin and announced that he really wanted Tom Hanks. The Saturday Night Live skit then went on to make several jokes about how both men were well-qualified to be president based on their movie careers.

The SNL skit may have been a joke, but in 2016, Dwayne told British GQ that he seriously had pondered having political aspirations.

“I’ll be honest, I haven’t ruled politics out. I’m not being coy when I say that, but at the moment I am not sure,” Johnson said. “I can’t deny that the thought of being governor, the thought of being president, is alluring. And beyond that, it would be an opportunity to make a real impact on people’s lives on a global scale.”

The Washington Post admitted that the registered Republican had a “weirdly plausible path to a political career” because the wrestler and Baywatch star makes his home in Florida, a pivotal swing state in the eventual 2020 election. Unlike Trump’s polls in recent months, Johnson also has high favorable ratings and doesn’t have a record as a flip-flopper on major issues.

Right now, all the talk about the 2020 election is for comedic purposes, but if we see The Rock for president, then Allison Hammond wants the position of Dwayne Johnson’s wife. The This Morning host was doing a promo for the Baywatch movie but then she asked if it was true he really had his eye on the 2020 presidential run.

“It is true that I would consider it,” responded The Rock. “The GQ writer asked me about it and I said, yeah, I would consider it. It is crazy but it has blown up…. I’m so flattered by it. Members of the media like yourself….”

At this, Hammond interrupted, saying that The Rock would win, but then blurted out, “You need a first lady! You could propose to me and give me a rock!”

The This Morning host then proceeded to reach into her shirt only to produce a diamond engagement ring. To much laughs, Dwayne went to one knee and asked for her hand in marriage.

“The prenup is coming; it’s the size of an encyclopedia!” joked Johnson.

All joking aside, Dwayne Johnson’s “wife” for all practical purposes is singer/songwriter Lauren Hashian. The two met in 2006 when he was filming the movie The Game Plan. At the time, The Rock’s wife was movie producer Dany Garcia, but when the two divorced in 2007, Lauren helped Dwayne battle the depression he was feeling from the divorce.

“What kind of dad does this make me? What kind of man will I now become?” Dwayne said at the time. “Failing at marriage and as a husband was a heavy thing.”

Not too much later, the couple was first spotted dating in 2008, and they have been partners for almost 10 years now. They’ve been together long enough that if you Google “Dwayne Johnson wife” the search engine even names Lauren as The Rock’s wife despite the lack of any marriage/engagement ring. The couple welcomed a baby girl named Jasmine in December of 2015, and The Rock’s daughter has been his pride and joy on his social media accounts.

The couple recently faced tragedy together since Lauren’s father is Sib Hashian, the Boston drummer who died on a 2017 Legend of Rock Cruise back in March. Lauren was also driving with The Rock when he first heard that Fast and Furious co-star Paul Walker had died.

Otherwise, their relationship is a happy one, with Dwayne saying how lucky he was to find love with Lauren.

“I was so fortunate to have fallen in love once,” Johnson said in a 2012 interview. “To fall in love again? That’s a hard thing to do twice in the position I’m in. I’m one lucky son of a b***h.”
