Miranda Kerr Marries Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel In Private Ceremony
The Australian model Miranda Kerr, 34, and the billionaire Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel, 26, became officially husband and wife in a private ceremony on Saturday, May 27. The pair tied the knot in a “lavish and classy” ceremony held in the backyard of their home in Brentwood, Los Angeles. The ceremony was attended only by close relatives and friends.
Kerr and Spiegel bought their Brentwood home for $12 million last year, according to TMZ.
Kerr and Spiegel took care to keep the ceremony private and the identity of the guests a secret. TMZ was unable to identify the guests because all arrived at the couple’s Brentwood mansion in black limousines with tinted windows. The limos picked up the guests at secret prearranged locations and chauffeured them to the house.
The wedding was attended by less than 50 guests, a source revealed, according to E! News. Another source estimated the number of guests who attended the ceremony and reception at about 40.
“It was a small intimate wedding,” the source told E! News.
The source added that besides family members and other relatives, the guests were mostly high-profile and included some models.
“It’s unclear if Miranda’s ex, Orlando Bloom, made the guest list or not,” TMZ added.

The guests arrived at about 4 p.m. and were ushered into an open air tent where they were served cocktails. A pianist entertained them with “When You Wish Upon a Star,” and a string quartet joined later.
The decor, according to a guest that spoke with E! News, was elegant rustic, including farmhouse tables, white benches, chairs, and pink roses.
The wedding ceremony began at 4:40 p.m. and lasted only about 20 minutes. Kerr looked regal like a “natural princess,” a guest enthused, according to E! News. The guest added that the Kerr and Spiegel were so emotional while exchanging vows that there were tears in their eyes.

Kerr’s makeup artist, Lisa Storey, had to touch her makeup after the wedding ceremony, before the reception.
“The vows are beautiful,” the witness said. “Everything was done elegantly.”
“For a small wedding, it has been a huge production. The wedding and reception are intimate, but lavish and classy,” another source told People magazine. “Miranda has been very involved. She has great taste and knew exactly what she wanted. She is very sweet. She is ecstatic to marry Evan.”
Kerr and Spiegel began dating in 2014 after they met at a Louis Vuitton dinner. They eventually got engaged in July of 2016. Kerr announced their engagement in June of 2016. She gushed over her catch in an interview with E! News, saying that she was “head over heels” in love with Spiegel.
The couple also announced their engagement on Spiegel’s Snapchat. Kerr showed off her engagement ring on the app. It was a “round-cut center diamond set between two tapered baguettes,” according to People.
She admitted at the time that Evan’s proposal as unexpected.
“[Was I expecting it?] Absolutely not. He said to me, ‘Miranda, I’m telling you now, this is the first and last time I’m going to kneel down in front of you.'”

The former Victoria’s Secret Angel had revealed, awkwardly, in an interview early last year with the Times of London that she and her partner were waiting until they got married to begin having sex.
“My partner is very traditional. We can’t… I mean we’re just… waiting.”
“He’s just a really kind person and very genuine and very authentic and I really appreciate that about him,” she told E! News, “And also, he’s very intelligent.”
Kerr also spoke about Spiegel’s low-key lifestyle.
“He acts like he’s 50. He’s not out partying. He goes to work in Venice. He comes home. We don’t go out.”

While this is Spiegel’s first marriage, it is Kerr’s second. She was previously married to Orlando Bloom. The two split in October of 2013 after three years of marriage and had a son together, named Flynn.
She told E! News that although she was content with having only one child, she would consider having more with her new husband.
“I am very content with having just one, but I am definitely open to the possibility of having more,” she said.
It seems likely that Spiegel would want to have children from his first marriage.
