WWE News: Brie Bella Has Begun Training For WWE Comeback
At Wrestlemania 32, Brie Bella ended her full-time wrestling career in WWE on the grandest stage of them all in front of over 100,000 people. It was a career-defining moment for her, but she made up her mind that starting a family with Daniel Bryan was more important to her than continuing to wrestle. It’s ironic that her husband became the General Manager of SmackDown Live only a couple of months later.
However, Brie and Bryan Danielson welcomed their first child Birdie Joe Danielson into the world on May 9th. The Danielsons will be adjusting to their lives as parents for some time, but Brie has started training to get back into better physical shape. However, she mentioned during a recent video that her training would get her back into the ring someday soon. Brie Bella had the following to say about a potential WWE comeback.
“Now, I’m just going to kind of take you guys on the journey of myself getting back in shape, getting my abs back, and hopefully getting back in shape to get back in that ring someday soon. Maybe not very soon, but definitely soon.”
Obviously, it will take awhile for her to get back into the shape she was in before her pregnancy, but a return to the ring will take even longer. As of this writing, she hasn’t gone into “Brie Mode” for roughly a year and a half. That’s not necessarily a long time to be away from the ring, especially considering that her career as a full-time performer is most likely over. A part-time schedule or the occasional match may not be too much.
A match at WWE Summerslam this year may be too much to ask of her. However, Wrestlemania 34 in New Orleans next year is plausible. Daniel Bryan is still the GM of SmackDown Live, and Nikki Bella is also a part of “the blue brand.” Brie Bella returning to SmackDown seems to be a lock; the only question is when she’ll make her return to WWE programming. Most people would assume The Bella Twins will reunite for WWE.
Nikki Bella is a babyface right now on WWE television, which would make reuniting The Bella Twins really easy because Brie was a natural babyface during her WWE career. After Daniel Bryan’s retirement, Brie may have become a huge babyface for the company if she had decided to continue wrestling. But, she won’t have an issue returning to WWE as a babyface because the fans will be ecstatic to see her back in the ring again.
For the foreseeable future, Brie Bella will be playing the role of mother at home. During her video, she said that she could return to the WWE ring “someday.” Unfortunately, her fans will need to be patient while she gets back into shape and adjusts to motherhood over time. As she becomes more comfortable, Brie may find that she doesn’t have an itch to get back into the ring, and her wrestling career in WWE is officially over.
There is no doubt that Brie Bella would be welcomed back to SmackDown or even Raw if the powers that be wanted to go in another direction for her comeback. In all likelihood, Brie would only return for one match here and there at PPVs like WWE Summerslam, WWE Survivor Series, or on the grandest stage of them all.
If WWE officials are thinking outside the box, Brie Bella could return for a role alongside Daniel Bryan as an authority figure on SmackDown. There are many ways for her to get involved on WWE television if she were interested, but only time will tell if “Brie Mode” will return to a WWE ring in one way or another someday.
