Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2012: Alessandra Ambrosio Steals Show With Floral Fantasy Bra

If the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show has one signature piece, it would be the Fantasy Bra.

According to Celebuzz,the multimillion dollar brassiere has become an institution at the annual TV spectacle. A unique themed Fantasy Bra has been specially designed every year for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show.

They have been doing this ever since Claudia Shiffer modeled the inaugural Million Dollar Miracle Bra in 1996.

A Victoria’s Secret Angel is selected every year to model that year’s special Fantasy Bra.

This year, Victoria’s Secret veteran Alessandra Ambrosio has the honor to model the new Fantasy Bra design. Ambrosio will follow in the footsteps of other chosen Angels such as Karolina Kurkova, Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks, Adriana Lima, and Miranda Kerr .

Ambrosio will model the Floral Fantasy Bra, a London Jewelers creation that is bedazzled with amethysts, rubies, sapphires, and diamonds. And, in the center, there is a 20-carat white diamond.

All of jewels are set in rose and yellow gold.

Candy Udell, president of New Jersey-based London Jewelers, told Celebuzz:

“We absolutely love the way it came out. It’s really beautiful. The Floral Fantasy Bra was inspired … [by a] floral theme because we thought it was very colorful and beautiful to work with.”

Ambrosio stole the show in the ornate piece during one of the show’s six themed sections, “Angels in Bloom.” Udell commented on the themed section:

“There’s a whole segment around it.. It’s all done with flowers and the bra just stands out beautifully.”

Udell is ecstatic to have her company’s bejeweled bra featured in the Victoria’s Secret show. She said:

“I think that this is the mother of all fashion shows. It’s the largest one in the world and it’s seen in over 180 countries around the world.”

Though Udell had no hand in bestowing the Fantasy Bra honor upon Ambrosio, London Jewelers was more than pleased with the Brazilian model.

Udell said this about Ambrosio:

“I don’t know the process. I do know she’s been with them quite a while so maybe it’s seniority or just next in line. But she’s beautiful and wonderful to work with. We’re really happy she was chosen this year.”

The 2012 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show airs Tuesday night at 10 pm ET on CBS.
