Kristin Cavallari: ‘The Hills’ Was Fake, Lauren Conrad Feud Was Exaggerated
Kristin Cavallari shocked the world last night when she told Bravo’s Andy Cohen that her show The Hills was completely fake.
Ok, so maybe shocked isn’t the right word. Cavallari has said in the past that “nothing you see on TV is real” and admitted that they often did costume changes and shot multiples days at a time for the show. The Hills even ended with the cameras peeling back to reveal a film set.
The Hills may have contained “fake relationships and fake fights” but Cavallari said that her feud with co-star Lauren Conrad was real. Well, kind of.
Cavallari, who recently had her first child with quarterback Jay Cutler, said that she has a “distaste” for Lauren Conrad but admitted that MTV exaggerated the feud.
Cavallari said:
“I do feel like [MTV producers] put things in our heads. I mean, we were 17 and 18. They made it a lot worse than it was … She is a very pretty girl… she’s very successful, and we actually have had a lot of really fun nights together, so she can be a lot of fun.”
Here’s a video of Kristin Cavallari “pleading the fifth” with Andy Cohen.
Conrad and Cavallari spent years as (fake) rivals on Laguna Beach and The Hills and now they’ll be rivals in the fashion world. Cavallari is following in her former co-stars footsteps with a new shoes and a jewelry line.
Are you a fan of Kristin Cavallari? Are you surprised that The Hills was fake?
