Molly Roloff Wedding: ‘Little People, Big World’ Star To Tie The Knot With Joel Silvius This Summer
Molly Roloff is getting married! The reluctant Little People, Big World star is tying the knot with boyfriend Joel Silvius later this summer, Radar Online is reporting.
You don’t see much of Molly, 23, on the show that made her family famous; not in the current version and not in the earlier version that aired between 2006 and 2012. The reason for that isn’t particularly salacious or earth-shattering: She simply doesn’t like being on-camera. Unlike her parents or her older twin brothers, Zachary and Jeremy, who seem to relish all of the attention and use the show to promote their projects — Mom Amy’s charity, Dad Matt’s business, brother Jeremy’s books — Molly prefers a more quiet life away from the cameras.
According to 2Paragraphs, Molly studied accounting and Spanish at Whitworth University in Spokane — far (relatively, anyway) from the family’s farm in Oregon — and, after graduating, decided to stay in Spokane. What she’s been doing for her job since then is a matter of dispute; according to her LinkedIn profile, she worked as a transcriptionist at ABC Transcription between 2013 and 2015. It’s now 2017, of course, and her profile doesn’t appear to have been updated since then. Don’t read too much into that, however. If she has a good job and isn’t planning on looking for a new one, there’s really no need for her to update her résumé, so to speak. And since Molly doesn’t like the spotlight, the Inquisitr will respect her privacy and not try to dig up where she’s working or what she’s doing.
One thing that Molly has done in Spokane, which isn’t a secret, is meet a fellow!

Clearly, Amy is excited about the fact that Molly is getting married.
So who’s the lucky guy? As Radar Online reports, his name is Joel Silvius. He doesn’t appear to have either an Instagram or Facebook account (or at least, not under that name). He has a Twitter account, but he appears to have never used it. He also has a LinkedIn profile, which doesn’t really reveal much about him.
So it appears that, like his fianceé, Joel likes to fly under the radar. By the way, here’s a picture of him, courtesy of his soon-to-be father-in-law Matt’s Instagram account.

The happy couple have put up wedding registries at at least two retailers — Crate & Barrel and Bed Bath & Beyond. And the gifts they want are utterly mundane: tasteful and simple dinnerware, towels, kitchen utensils, and so on. The colors they seem to favor range from white to gray. Their preferred colors for kitchen utensils range from stainless steel to wood.
Clearly, Molly and Joel favor the understated and the dull; either that or all of the exciting stuff on their registries has already been bought up.
You may or may not see some (any? all?) of Molly and Joel’s wedding on Little People, Big World later this year or sometime next year. On the one hand, another family wedding is a big plot point for the popular show. But on the other hand, Molly and Joel are intensely private (compared to the rest of the clan, anyway), and they may keep the cameras away.
Molly Roloff and Joel Silvius’ wedding date is August 5, 2017.
