Katt Williams isn’t having a good week. The comedian has been involved in police chases , electric scooter chases , bar brawls and slap fights over the last few days and last night he got kicked out of a hotel in Seattle. To cap it all off, Williams may also be looking at the end of his career.
Williams was ordered to leave a Courtyard Marriott in Seattle late last night. USA Today reports that police were called to the scene but Williams was not arrested. It’s unclear why the hotel asked him to leave.
What is clear is that Williams recent string of fights / arrests have taken a toll on the comedian. In an interview with KOMO TV Williams said that he was cancelling his upcoming stand up tour and was planning to take a long break from performing.
Williams said:
“I’m just gonna go ahead and announce my retirement from stand up, I’m kinda done … I’ve discussed it with my kids, I wasn’t gonna do in the middle of a Seattle street, I was going to go to Los Angeles and do it in the offices of ICM or LiveNation.”
So what will Williams do during his retirement? The comedian said that he wants to buy the Washington State Ferry Rhododendron and live on the water with his family. He also may spend some of his retirement in court as he plans to sue Seattle for defaming his character.
Williams said:
“I can stay [on the ferry], and my family can be there, and my dogs can be there, and my whole staff can be there, until we get done suing Seattle for this $50 million that I want for crippling my reputation as a father, and a black man, and as a taxpaying citizen, and as a person who is not a convicted felon.”
It seems like Williams is starting to unravel a bit and it’s probably a good idea for him to take a step back from the spotlight.
