Bella Hadid Moves On From The Weeknd With Boxer Anthony Joshua As She Attends Cannes 2017?
Does Bella Hadid have a new boyfriend? According to a new report, the model was reportedly caught flirting online with boxer Anthony Joshua during her recent visit to Cannes.
In addition to sharing tons of photos and videos of her trip on her many social media pages, the model has hit numerous red carpets and runways and even made time for a potential new romance with the man who defeated Wladimir Klitschko last month in London.
According to a report by The Sun on May 21, Bella Hadid and Anthony Joshua, who first met at the 2016 GQ Men of the Year Awards, have quietly exchanging flirty “likes” online and Joshua appears to have made quite the impression on Hadid.
Although Bella Hadid and Anthony Joshua were seeing other people when they first met, Hadid split from The Weeknd in November 2016 and Joshua is newly single after calling it quits with pole dance teacher Nicole Osbourne.
“When they first met they chatted and got on well, but [Bella Hadid] took a bit of a shine to Anthony,” a source told The Sun. “She’s kept up with his career and has been subtly hinting at her interest with some interaction on Instagram – and he has been reciprocating.”
“Anthony is now single again. He split up with his girlfriend after an on/off patch but he feels like it really is over this time. They have known each other since school and have a child together but it just hasn’t worked out,” the insider added.
“Bella is single too. She’s split from The Weeknd and has made it clear she’s focused on doing whatever she wants to – so things could easily happen.”
According to The Sun, Bella Hadid dished on her new life as a single woman just a short time ago and appeared to be completely content staying single.
“It’s like I’m finally getting to the point where I can just think about what I want to do and the places I want to go,” she said. “I want to be as independent as possible and worry about myself rather than anyone else.”
Bella Hadid began dating The Weeknd in early 2015 and in late 2016, ahead of their joint appearance at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Paris, France, they split up. As fans will likely recall, Hadid and her musician ex were forced to come face-to-face on the red carpet just weeks after they split as Hadid acted as a runway model and The Weeknd performed.
Months later, after rumors swirled regarding a possible reunion, The Weeknd stepped out in Los Angeles with his new girlfriend, Selena Gomez.
Although Bella Hadid had nothing but good things to say about The Weeknd in the weeks that followed their split, she seemingly had a change of heart about their amicable split after he stepped out with Gomez. In fact, Hadid quickly unfollowed both Gomez and The Weeknd after their romance debut.
Months later, Bella Hadid was said to have grown further peeved after the new couple made their red carpet debut at the Met Gala in New York City, where they were seen sharing numerous kisses as cameras snapped.
“Bella [Hadid] is crushed after having to see Selena [Gomez] look so in love with Abel [Tesfaye] at the Met Ball,” an insider told Hollywood Life earlier this month. “Selena and Abel really looked like a stunning couple at the ball and it hurt Bella’s heart to see her ex, in person, look so happy with his gorgeous new girlfriend.”
