Janet Jackson’s Ex Husband Involved In Car Crash
If there’s one word to describe Janet Jackson’s ex-husbands, then it’s probably “drama.”
Janet Jackson’s first ex-husband, James DeBarge, has landed himself in the spotlight – both the media’s spotlight and the police helicopter’s.
Police are looking for DeBarge after Janet Jackson’s ex-husband got involved in a hit-and-run incident in Los Angeles. DeBarge tried to cut across traffic and collided with an oncoming vehicle, and the whole thing was caught on camera, according to TMZ.
The incident took place on April 24 but came to light only this week. The footage shows how DeBarge, who was married to Janet Jackson for only a year from 1984 through 1985, slammed his Mercedes station wagon into a Chevy Volt.
But crashing into another car was apparently not reason enough for Janet Jackson’s ex to stop his vehicle, as he bolted from the scene. Now the victim is suing DeBarge and even hired attorney Michael Parker to help her win the case and make Janet Jackson’s ex-hubby pay $6,000 in damages.
DeBarge has been absent from the public eye since the incident, with TMZ reporting that no one has been able to locate Janet Jackson’s ex.
It took the victim’s attorney only a little bit of snooping around to find out that DeBarge had no insurance. Janet Jackson has not commented on the incident, and there’s no telling if she knows her ex’s whereabouts.
The public attention surrounding Janet Jackson’s other ex-husband, Wissam Al Mana, is not as bad though. Janet Jackson turned 51-years-old last week, and although Jackson and Al Mana called it quits a few months ago shortly after the birth of son Eissa, it didn’t stop him from sending flowers to the birthday girl.
A breakup is not a reason to forget your former flame and disappear from their life altogether, especially when you share a newborn son. This was the case with Al Mana, who sent his ex-wife a mix of over 100 roses and orchids last Tuesday, according to Entertainment Tonight.
A source close to Janet Jackson cited by Entertainment Tonight says the former lovebirds and the new parents “have a mutual love and admiration for each other,” despite being separated.
However, as much as Janet Jackson’s fans would love her to reconnect with her ex-husband, this is not happening – at least in the near future, the source says.
“There doesn’t seem to be a reconciliation in the future, but never say never.”
Janet Jackson made headlines earlier this year when she split from her ex-husband Al Mana just weeks after welcoming their first child, son Eissa. Janet Jackson and Al Mana married in 2012.
Janet Jackson reportedly can’t get enough of her newborn son, with the source saying that the “Rhythm Nation” singer “couldn’t ask for a better gift than her precious baby boy.”

Janet Jackson’s ex-husband was apparently familiar with the Jackson family’s tradition of celebrating birthdays that goes back decades.
The source explained that “birthdays are important milestones” in the family, adding that when Janet Jackson’s brother Michael Jackson was alive, he used to “give elaborate gifts” and “enjoy parties.”
The tradition has passed down to his children and siblings, and apparently, even his siblings’ love interests are joining in the fun. Janet Jackson’s ex is not the only one honoring the tradition, as the source says Michael’s kids Paris and Prince always throw “big birthdays.”

Despite giving birth to son Eissa just months ago, Janet Jackson is actively preparing for her upcoming tour, which the ET source teases is going to be “nothing but perfection.”
The news comes amid reports that Janet Jackson is “rigorously dieting” to get back into shape after pregnancy to look “her best” for the tour, which is scheduled to kick off in September.
