Katt Williams Arrested: Comic Fought With Officers After Bar Brawl, Details Show
Katt Williams was arrested in Seattle after arguing with another patron at the World Sports Grille and threatening a manager with a pool cue, and new details show that the comic fought with officers when they came to arrest him.
Williams has already been released from jail following the bar dispute, the latest in a string of bizarre and increasingly violent incidents for the comedian. As The Associated Press noted, Katt Williams was arrested in Seattle after he reportedly flicked a cigarette into a woman’s face through a car window and then threw a rock at the vehicle. He had followed the family outside the bar after his reported argument inside during which he threatened the manager with a pool cue.
Police came, and Williams reportedly struggled with them as they tried to arrest him. Katt Williams was then arrested and jailed for investigation of assault, harassment, and obstruction.
For Williams, it was the latest incident in a life that appears to be spiraling out of control, The Huffington Post noted. The 39-year-old actor, who was also arrested following a fight in an Oakland club earlier in November, was accused earlier in the day of walking into a Target story and slapping an employee in the face.
A few days earlier, Williams was in trouble when he drove his three-wheeled motorbike on a sidewalk and led police on a chase that was later called off to protect pedestrians. So, as Katt Williams was arrested and then released, he could have time behind bars in the future; California police said they plan to present a felony arrest case after the chase.
