Alison Eastwood Engaged, Clint’s Daughter To Wed Stacy Poitras

Alison Eastwood, daughter of famed actor-director Clint Eastwood, has announced her engagement to Chainsaw Gang costar Stacy Poitras. Alison, 40, has reportedly been engaged to Poitras for a long time but just recently decided to announce their upcoming nuptials.

Poitras speakign with Celebuzz reveald:

“I actually asked for [Clint’s] permission three years ago at a Thanksgiving dinner in Pebble Beach that was attended by Alison’s mom Maggie [Johnson], too.”

Alison and Stacy have been together for the last five years, and Poitras calls himself the “luckiest guy in the world” to be “engaged to an angel.”

It has been a big week for the Eastwood family after Francesca Eastwood was named Miss golden Globe 2013.

Poitras tells a funny story about asking for his future wife’s hand in marriage. In speaking about a conversation with Clint Eastwood, he revealed:

“Clint is a cool guy … but he’s definitely a man of few words. I quietly asked him when we were alone if it would be all right if I asked for his daughter’s hand in marriage. He coolly looked me in the eye and softly said, ‘You better take that up with her,’ to which I replied, ‘So, I have your permission?’ And he said, ‘Yes.’ “

A date for the big day has not yet been revealed.
