Kardashian BFF Jonathan Cheban Brings Them To A Mexican Restaurant After A Cockroach Infestation
Kardashian family friend Jonathan Cheban took them all out to a Mexican restaurant in California just one day after it had reopened following a cockroach infestation.
The ‘Foodgod’ takes the Kardashians out for Cinco de Mayo
Jonathan Cheban often refers to himself as the “Foodgod,” which is also his Instagram handle. The Kardashian BFF brought reality star sisters Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian, along with their mother Kris Jenner, to Casa Vega in Sherman Oaks on May 5 to celebrate Cinco de Mayo.
LAEater.com reported that the well-known Mexican restaurant was shut down just three days before their celebratory dinner on May 5 amid a “slew of violations.” One of these “major violations” forced a permit suspension.
The Department of Public Health’s website listed the violation for “rodents, insects, birds, or animals.”
Casa Vega’s score was brought down to an 84, giving it a B grade.
The Retail Food Inspection Guide defines a cockroach infestation as “one or more live cockroaches in the food preparation, food storage, warewashing, indoor customer dining area, or restrooms’ results in immediate closure.”
The restaurant where the Kardashians and Cheban dined a few days later commented publicly saying that two cockroaches were found behind a burst pipe in the back storage room.
The Mexican eatery is also re-doing their 61-year-old kitchen as of May 17. Casa Vega briefly reopened following the cockroach infestation closure, which is when Cheban brought the Kardashians and Kris Jenner in for a meal.

Kim Kardashian, Khloe, and Kourtney all documented the evening on their personal Snapchats. Cheban uploaded a photo of their night out to his Instagram, which boasts more than 2 million followers.

Passion for food and entertainment
Jonathan Cheban has proven his love for food over the years, venturing into the fast food joint, Burger Bandit, in New York and the meal delivery service, Prepped Delivery.
Kim Kardashian’s best friend of many years launched a food and entertainment site TheDishh and opened a sushi restaurant in Miami, Sushi MiKasa, both of which have since shut down.

Jonathan is often spotted with Kim Kardashian and the rest of their family on outings. Last week, Kim took North to the Ice Cream Museum in downtown Los Angeles, and Cheban tagged along.
Although he is mainly located in New York City, Jonathan often travels for work appearances and to see his friends like the Kardashians on the west coast.
He was spotted last week wearing a hoodie with a $100 bill on it, but instead of Benjamin Franklin’s face, Kanye West’s was photoshopped in.

The Kardashian BFF has also been in London where he filmed a dating reality show, Daily Mail reported.
