‘RHOA’ Season 10 Cast: Andy Cohen Confirms Phaedra Parks Fired, Not Returning Next Season?

Andy Cohen might have just confirmed that Phaedra Parks has been fired from The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Early this month, several publications reported that Parks was dropped from RHOA after spreading rape rumors about her co-star Kandi Burruss. Although Bravo has yet to release an official statement, it seems like the Housewives executive producer and Watch What Happens Live host admitted that Parks is not returning for Season 10.

In an interview with E! News, Andy Cohen said that none of the Atlanta Housewives wanted to work with Phaedra Parks after it was revealed that she was the one who told Porsha Williams about Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker’s alleged plans to drug and rape her. After the reunion ended, Cohen said that none of the women wanted to be associated with Parks.

“How do you shoot a show about a group of friends when no one is speaking to one of the friends?” Cohen said.

That being said, it definitely seems like Phaedra Parks is not returning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta for Season 10. Last week, TMZ reported that Parks actually got the whole drugging and raping story from a RHOA producer, which was why she felt set up when they made it seem like she made the whole thing up. The website reported that during the reunion, Parks tried to clear her name and explain where she got the information from only to have it edited out to make it seem like she acted alone. Parks allegedly felt that she was fired from the show as a form of retaliation because she tried to throw the producers under the bus.

Since the RHOA Season 9 reunion aired, TMZ reported that Parks have been getting threats and worse she could get disbarred for spreading all those rumors about Kandi Burruss.

Early this month, sources told Page Six that Phaedra Parks actually got the drug and rape story from a RHOA producer, which she then repeated to another cast member. The website also confirmed that Parks tried to explain where she got the information from during the reunion but they had to cut it out because Housewives were not allowed to talk about what goes on behind the production.

“Phaedra tried to blame producers for manipulating the scenario, and it was cut from the reunion show. They’re not allowed to break the ‘fourth wall’ and talk about production. It may not have been entirely Phaedra’s fault, but she has to take the fall,” the insider revealed.

Bravo, however, has since denied claims that a producer was involved. In an interview with E! News, Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel also sided with the network on this issue. The reality show veteran explained that the franchise is as real as it gets and the producers have no control over the cast members. Being on RHONY for years, Frankel said that no one makes the Housewives do or say anything just to create more drama for the show.

“I’ve been doing this for 10 years. I actually, sadly, consider myself to be a veteran. The producers do not make you do these things at all. The producers don’t know exactly what’s going on, so they might say, ‘Are you going to talk to Kandi about this?’ They don’t know. They would never do that. It would be a massive problem. This isn’t The Hills, it’s real. It really is. So yeah, no, that would never happen,” Frankel said.
