The Clash of Clans boat update appears to be closely tied to the Captain’s Log: Day 5 video. An expectation from a lot of users is that the May 2017 Clash of Clans update will be available to be downloaded soon after Supercell posts that fifth video on its website. It is at that point when users will likely get to enjoy playing with the new facets of the game. What that will entail is being hotly debated on social media and in forum groups around the internet.
Supercell set up a new site where the videos have been debuted and on Monday (May 15) they rolled out the Captain’s Log: Day 4 video. As previously reported by the Inquisitr , the video was seen as a bit of filler by gamers, simply marking a period of time where the character of Hog Rider and his friends were traveling across the sea. It didn’t reveal how the Clash of Clans boat update would work, nor did it give any real hints about what would be at the end of the voyage.
There has also been a new addition to the main forum post about the upcoming Clash of Clans download, but it doesn’t present information that users are going to want to read. The post now spells out that there won’t be any improvements made to the game this week, meaning that May 22 would be the earliest that the huge update is made to COC platform. That’s another long wait for gamers who have been frequently checking the Supercell forums for fresh Clash of Clans news.

When it comes to the Clash of Clans boat update, there are certainly more theories than answers floating around social media. Nearly every player who has spent some time in the game has ideas of what should take place and how the Broken Boat should be used to improve gameplay. A lot of those theories have been rehashed as rumors from unsuspecting users on social media who want to believe that the changes are going to be mindblowing. That has, in turn, created some false information that other social media users have been spreading around.
The image posted above on Twitter and in a YouTube video certainly makes it look like an intriguing addition to the game, but nothing has been confirmed about the possible Clash of Clans leaks. Supercell forum moderator LachNessMeownster has stated that there will be Versus Battles added to the game, potentially giving players a chance to go up against their friends through one-on-one wars. That could be a really unique way to play the game, especially if it provides a secondary village for gamers to use.
Secondary villages are also rumored to be a part of the May 2017 Clash of Clans update, possibly reached by using one of those Broken Boats to travel across the water. It is assumed that users will have to first fix those boats in order to journey across the sea, leading to a place that will likely get revealed during the Captain’s Log: Day 5 video later this week or early next week. This could also be where a rumored “Night Mode” comes into play, possibly giving users the chance to play with a second village while their primary one is taking part in Clan Wars.
Not going to watch any more of these pointless videos????. Let us know when you actually have something to show us @ClashofClans pic.twitter.com/thyQPpfJxb

Not everyone is pleased by the videos that are being presented as Clash of Clans sneak peeks. The videos aren’t revealing a lot to users and seem like time-fillers to cover up for a delayed release of the downloads. Patience will likely pay off in the end, especially if Supercell fulfills the promise that this is supposed to be the biggest improvement that the game has ever seen. It would be tough to surpass the level of excitement that the introduction of Clan Wars generated, but it’s certainly possible that the Clash of Clans boat update will bring back people who have stopped playing the game.
