Kim Kardashian and Kanye West enjoyed a fairy-tale wedding, with two adorable children eventually adding to the charm of this picture-perfect marriage. But the image has shattered in recent months, with Kim struggling to recover from her horrifying robbery and Kanye suffering a health battle. Now a new report claims that Kardashian and West are going through messy marriage problems, with the alleged possibility of a divorce looming. And just in case that wasn’t enough drama in their real lives, momager Kris Jenner allegedly has a plot to use those marriage problems to boost sagging ratings on the family’s reality TV show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians (KUWTK).

Kim and Kanye will celebrate their third wedding anniversary next week. But while a typical Kardashian and West celebration means lovebird photos on social media and extravagant parties, the Mirror reports that the two will be hundreds of miles apart on the big day. And that physical separation may be a sign of emotional separation between the two, according to a source quoted by the publication.

After living together in wedded bliss since they tied the knot on May 24, 2014, Kim and Kanye are sparking rumors that they’re ready to split, and the insider revealed what’s wrong.

“Right now, things are very tough for their marriage.”

In addition, Kardashian and West reportedly have been spotted together in public only a few times in 2017, adding to the concern about whether their marriage can last. While Kim has been candid about her struggles about the robbery, even discussing her terror on KUWTK, she has gradually returned to social media and the public spotlight.

In contrast, Kanye abruptly deleted his Instagram and Twitter accounts. The musician also reportedly headed away from Los Angeles to a mountain top in Wyoming. In that remote region far from the bright lights of his wife’s home, West reportedly plans to work on his new album.

While Kim and the kids remain in Los Angeles, her Instagram account has noticeably been absent of photos with Kanye for several weeks. And fans who waited eagerly to see Kardashian and West make a grand entrance at the Met Gala this year, as they have for years in the past, were shocked to see Kim without her husband at the recent event.

Is Kanye’s departure to Wyoming just about his music? The insider alleged that after West’s health problems, including hospitalization in November, his disappearance to the mountains has more to do with “escaping their problems” and less about his music. The source also expressed concern that the trip could be a sign of marriage problems.

“We’re all concerned that this could be a sign their marriage is on the rocks and that they want time apart.”

Describing Kanye as “in a very odd place in his life right now,” the insider said that the musician is “happy to take a break.” In addition, Kardashian allegedly persuaded him to go.

“Kim convinced him that this was the best solution for him, as it would allow him to take time out of the spotlight,” added the source.

So does Kardashian miss her husband? Not according to the insider.

“I think she’s enjoying the freedom to do what she wants, knowing Kanye’s out of the city and has a good crew around him.”

West allegedly is no longer involved in filming scenes for KUWTK, which means that his absence doesn’t impact the reality TV show’s schedule. As for signs that a split really could happen? The publication claimed that in 2016, Kim visited a divorce attorney, Laura Wasser “to get things in order in case they split.”

The couple has two children, with their daughter North West now three-years-old and Saint one-year-old.

While KUWTK fans speculate about what the reported separation of Kardashian and West means, Kanye’s mother-in-law Kris Jenner, also known as the “momager” of the Kardashian and Jenner clan, allegedly has hatched a plan to take advantage of the situation. And that plot reportedly is designed to save the sagging ratings of KUWTK.

An insider told In Touch that Kris has noted that Kim’s and Kanye’s marriage is allegedly “failing,” and thus Jenner is going to use the “death” of the marriage to save KUWTK. The publication also claimed that Kardashian’s and West’s relationship “is beyond the point of repair” even as the ratings reportedly continue to fall.

“[Kris Jenner is] pressuring Kim to discuss her marriage problems on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”

In recent years, the ratings for KUWTK have “been rapidly declining,” according to the publication, which claimed that “it’s no surprise that Kris wants to exploit her daughter’s personal drama for financial gain.” The reality TV show reportedly enjoyed its highest ratings when Kardashian split from Reggie Bush and from Kris Humphries.

As for whether KUWTK could actually go off the air, the magazine’s sources clashed.

“The show is over and will be canceled,” predicted one of the insiders.

But another one of the sources claimed that KUWTK can survive as long as it gets a fresh infusion of more drama.

“The problem is the show is overplayed. How many times can Scott Disick go to rehab? It’s flat compared to all the past drama.”

Consequently, that insider feels that the family’s famous reality TV show needs a life-changing event to save the ratings.

“They need a baby, a wedding, or a divorce,” summed up the source.

But viewers of KUWTK shouldn’t count on a divorce between Kardashian and West just yet, according to an insider’s comments to People magazine. The source compared Kim and Kanye to mountain climbers struggling to survive.

“It’s like the two of them were dangling on a rope off a cliff, and they used every single thing they had to find solid ground,” said the insider. “They clawed their way back to somewhere a lot more healthy, and they’re still clawing their way back. There are good days and there are bad days.”
