Nikki Bella And John Cena Reveal If They’ll Ever Have Kids

Nikki Bella and fiancé John Cena have made no secret of the fact that they’ve had some ups and downs in their relationship, particularly when it comes to whether or not they would ever get married and have children.

But now John finally popped the question and proposed to Nikki after vowing he’d never get married again, does that mean the couple will soon be having kids of their own after seeing Bella’s sister Brie Bella give birth to her first child last week?

Bella and Cena were quizzed on the possibility of becoming parents to kids of their own by Entertainment Tonight as the two walked the red carpet together at the Fox Upfronts on May 15, where Nikki got candid about potentially having babies and starting a family of her own just days after her sister gave birth to her daughter Birdie Joe Danielson.

But it sounds like babies won’t be coming anytime soon for Bella and Cena, as Nikki joked that seeing her sister give birth to Birdie has actually put her off the idea of having children – at least for the time being.

“Being with Brie in labor for 22 hours, I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m fine not doing this, I think I’m okay,'” Nikki admitted when asked if she and John have babies on the brain now that they’re engaged. “I saw a lot, and I can’t unsee that,” Bella joked.

Nikki’s big baby confession comes after John made no secret of the fact that he didn’t have plans to marry and have kids, something that played out on the sisters’ E! reality series and Cena touched on during the new red carpet interview with his fiancée.

“Honestly it was a long time ago, it really was,” John said, referring to the fact that he actually wanted to propose to Nikki a long time before he got down on one knee in the ring on April 2 as the world watched on. “I’m just a stubborn old SOB sometimes, and I knew I found the right gal and I didn’t want to live without her,” Cena added.

Nikki Bella previously opened up about having kids – or not – with fiancé John Cena in an interview with TMZ Sports last month, where Nikki admitted that John hasn’t exactly changed his mind when it comes to being a dad, which means the couple likely won’t ever become parents even after they get married.

“I’ve been getting that question a lot, let me tell you. No, there won’t be [any children],” Bella said when asked about kids in April, just weeks before Nikki’s twin sister Brie gave birth to her daughter with husband Daniel Bryan last week.

“John doesn’t want kids,” Bella continued earlier this year, “so we’re not going to have kids.”

Bella and Cena have been very open about their differences when it comes to getting married and having children for years on the show Total Divas and the spinoff Total Bellas, as E! News reported that John even gave Bella an ultimatum as the cameras rolled back in 2014 while telling the WWE diva that he had no plans to ever get married or have kids – three years before he proposed.

“Let me ask you something. Let’s just say I was to ask you to marry me and we get married. Is that enough?” John asked Nikki on the reality show back in 2014, as Cena asked Bella to choose between him and getting married and having children.

“I’m trying to be a realist,” Cena continued in the candid conversation with Nikki on Total Divas. “I’ve told you that I don’t want to get married and I don’t want to have kids and you do want to get married and you do want to have kids, so I feel there’s this time bomb over my head.”
