‘Little People, Big World’: Tori Roloff Posts New Pic Of Baby Jackson, Zach Afraid To Cut Cord [UPDATE]

Just a day after taking to Instagram to announce the birth of her son, Little People, Big World star Tori Roloff posted an adorable new photo of her bundle of joy on the social media site.

“My heart is so unbearably full. I’ve only spent 4 days with this little guy and I have fallen in love completely with him. This is what I was meant to do. Mommy loves you, Jackson!???? #BabyJK #zandtpartyofthree,” Tori wrote in the message.

Tori and husband Zach Roloff welcomed their new baby, Jackson Kyle Roloff, into the world on Friday, May 12, at 8 a.m. He weighed 9 pounds, 1 oz., and was 20.5 inches long.

Tori shared little Jackson’s arrival with Little People, Big World fans on Sunday evening, writing “Mom and Dad are so in love with you already.”

In a TLC blog post, proud new dad Zach confirmed that Tori and Jackson are doing well.

“Baby and mother are doing great,” he said.

“Jackson has already mastered holding daddy’s fingers and snuggling with mom! He is adorable and Tori and I are loving being parents.”

And in a sweet video included with the post, Zach and Tori showed what they had packed in their hospital go-bags, including cute lamb pajamas for Jackson to come home in and lots of onesies, hats, and diapers.

Zach and Tori Roloff announced that they were expecting a baby back in November. Jackson is the first grandchild for Little People, Big World patriarch Matt Roloff and matriarch Amy Roloff.

On Monday, Matt relayed his excitement over Jackson’s arrival in a Facebook post, gushing, “I’m a grandpa!”

Meanwhile, Amy took to Instagram to say she was having a wonderful Mother’s Day, regramming the adorable family photo Zach and Tori originally posted.

“What a wonderful Mothers Day like no other. My baby (Zach) and his wife just had their first baby on Friday. It’s a boy! Jackson! I’m so proud so happy I can’t contain myself. I love them! My grandson is perfectly perfect!”

On the Little People, Big World season premiere two weeks ago, Zach and Tori Roloff expressed their concerns that their new baby may have achondroplasic dwarfism like Zach.

“It is scary,” Tori confessed in the episode. “No parent wants to hear that their child is different, no matter what that is.”

Zach countered, “But to me, that’s not different. He’s just like me.”

Tori went on to say that being married to Zach made the possibility easier to cope with, but the idea was still troublesome for her.

“I think as a parent it would be scary,” Tori replies. “If you didn’t know anything about dwarfism and you found out your child was a dwarf, that would be scary. There are certain things that would come along with having an achondroplasia child that would be more difficult than having a child that was average height.”

Zach also admitted that growing up with dwarfism was hard on him, recalling his painful leg-straightening surgery and having to have a shunt implanted to drain excess fluids from his brain.

“I’m not going to say: ‘Oh yeah, man, I wish my kid had dwarfism. All those struggles he’s going to go through? Heck yeah! Can’t wait!'” he explained. “But I’m also not going to say: ‘I really hope [he’s] an average height.’ Average height kids have issues, too.”

So far, no one in the Roloff family has said if baby Jackson has achondroplasia, but Little People, Big World fans know that he will be very loved and get all the support he needs no matter what — a fact Tori confirmed in the same LPBW episode.

“No matter what pops out, we’re going to love it,” she said.

In a People preview of tonight’s new episode of Little People, Big World, Zach and Tori discuss their son’s impending birth — which reveals Zach’s squeamish side!

While looking at ultrasound images of little Jackson, Tori asks, “Are you going to cut the umbilical cord?”

This is Zach’s cue to turn a little green.

“No!” he says. “No, no, no.”

But Tori isn’t having it.

“Yes, you are!” she says. “That’s your job.”

“A trained physician doesn’t do that?” Zach asks, desperate for a way out.

But Tori puts her foot down.

“I’m going to get my blood drawn, I’m going to push a baby out of my hoo-ha, I’m going to get an IV put into my hand, I’m going to get an epidural stuck into my back — you can cut the baby’s cord.”

Although we have no confirmation that Zach did indeed cut Jackson’s cord, there’s a good chance he did after hearing Tori’s solid argument!

Little People, Big World airs on TLC tonight at 9 p.m.
