Jennifer Lawrence Eats Raw Fish On The Set Of ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’

Jennifer Lawrence showed her dedication to the role of Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games film series by eating a raw fish in a scene that was shot on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old starlet is currently in Maui for the filming of the second movie in the trilogy and easily devoured the large pink fish, which was also covered in sand, whilst she sat on a beach surrounded by her co-stars, Josh Hutcherson and Sam Clafin.

Lawrence was wearing a grey and black wetsuit and also possessed a hoard of weapons. Shooting for the movie had stopped for Thanksgiving, but the cast and crew were back on their toes on Monday. However, it was clear to see that Jennifer was still feeling the effects of her break, as she yawned in between takes and even looked to take a quick doze in the sand. Several scenes were filmed in the icy water, which would have surely woken her up.

Lawrence even had a chance to work on some battle scenes, brandishing her infamous bow and taking aim at an individual in the water, and, with so many scenes taking place in the ocean, it’s good to see that the actresses’ surfboarding lessons throughout her holiday have come into good use.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is scheduled to be released on November 22, 2013 and has been written by the Academy Award winning duo Simon Beaufoy and Michael Arndt. The original grossed close to $700 million at the international box office last summer. Do you think the sequel will do even better? Or has the series peaked already?
