Lil Wayne Retirment, Rapper Will Focus On Skateboarding And Sports Radio Show
Lil Wayne is one of the most recognizable rappers in the world, yet, after his album Tha Carter V drops, he plans to walk away during the height of his critical and sales success, instead focusing his life on skateboarding and sports analysis.
Speaking recently about his future goals, Lil Wayne revealed:
“I’d be a skater/sports analyst. My day job will probably be sports analyst and I’ll skate all night instead of being in the studio all night.”
Interestingly enough, Lil Wayne doesn’t want to become the next Tony Hawk but apparently wouldn’t mind becoming more deeply integrated with the skating culture. Even fans of Lil Wayne may be surprised to learn that the rapper is actually a big skateboard supporter, having helped build skate parks all over the country including in his hometown of New Orleans.
On the sports side, Lil Wayne has revealed that he has been working with Nelly to create a sports show. Fans will have to wait a while before they can judge Weezy’s skills as a sports analyst as that show is still in the early planning stages.
According to several sources, Nelly and Lil Wayne are producing content that is being shopped around to any sports network willing to listen.
Lil Wayne is leaving the music industry just after he surpassed Elvis Presley’s title as the artist with the most Hot 100 Chart Appearances.
Weezy has not said whether his decision to leave rap has anything to do with his recent health scares which sidetracked the production of his newest upcoming album.
