Florida Walmart Shooting Leaves Two Injured

Tallahassee, FL – A shooting at a local Walmart has left two individuals wounded, according to WPTV.

While folks were preparing to engage in a little Black Friday shopping at one of the nation’s biggest retailers, two angry drivers got into a fight in the parking lot over a parking space. It was around this time that shots were fired.

A spokesperson for the police department explained that both victims were being treated at area hospitals for their injuries. Both individuals are expected to survive the shooting.

According to USA Today, Wal-Mart company spokesman Randy Hargrove said that the company is working with authorities to locate the person responsible for the shooting.

“The safety of our customers and associates is always a top priority for us,” Hargrove said.

One witness explained that she was in the customer service department when a mob of people came streaming into the store from the parking lot.

“I don’t think that it had anything to do with merchandise,” Kollet Probst explained. “”It was so odd and unprovoked that it just doesn’t seem like it was a Black Friday mob.”

ABC News reports that this isn’t the first incident of Black Friday violence that has popped up across the country during the retailer’s busiest day of the year. An intoxicated 71-year-old Washington state resident allegedly ran over two people in a Walmart parking lot on Thanksgiving Day.

A Kings County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson explained that the man has been charged with vehicular assault after being arrested by authorities. Although the male victim is reportedly doing well after the incident, the female victim is currently in serious condition.

The Inquisitr reported earlier today that several Walmart shoppers in Georgia became quite violent and more than a little hostile as they attempted to get their hands on deeply discounted smartphones.

Police in Florida are still looking for the suspect in the Walmart shooting.
