How Jessica Simpson Lost Her Weight: Personal Trainer Was Key
Many are wondering just how Jessica Simpson lost her weight after shedding 60 pounds post-pregnancy, and the singer/actress is happy to tell them it’s nothing special — just eating well and working out.
The Weight Watchers spokesperson has said that a strict diet was important to losing her weight, but said the real key was the personal trainer who worked with her daily to tailor a specialized exercise routine. Photos taken over the weekend show off just how much weight Jessica Simpson has lost, ABC News notes.
Losing the weight hasn’t always been easy for Simpson.
“After having the baby, I’ve had to really, really focus and start training,” Simpson told Good Morning America in September.
After losing 60 pounds, Jessica Simpson is now just 10 pounds away from her weight before she became pregnant with daughter Maxwell Drew. She said changing her eating habits was key — Simpson noted that during her pregnancy she allowed herself to indulge in her cravings — but nothing was more important than her personal trainer, Harley Pasternak.
Pasternak, who also works with stars like Jennifer Hudson, is a well renowned fitness expert and best-selling author and has a masters of science in exercise physiology and nutritional sciences from the University of Toronto, and an honors degree in kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario.
Here is Paster’s plan for how Jessica Simpson lost her weight:
Phase One: Cardio Warm-UP
Phase Two: Upper Body Strength Training
Phase Three: Lower Body Strength Training
Phase Four: Core Training
Phase Five: The Cardio Cool Down
The incredible turnaround has led to a number of media appearances for Jessica Simpson, who has recounted the story of how she lost her weight to outlets like Us Weekly and People.
