‘Games Of Thrones’ Season Three Trailer Arrives Online
The Game of Thrones season three trailer has arrived online, according to the folks at TV Web. Although the clip doesn’t offer up any new footage, it should help keep fans intrigued until something more substantial comes along.
Outside of hinting at the battle that’s preparing to take place between fire and ice, the trailer doesn’t give you too much to chew on. However, this probably won’t be the only promotional clip offered to fans before the season three premiere date.
“The great war is between death and life, ice and fire,” a female narrator explained. “If we lose the night will never end.”
According to Ace Showbiz, the third season of Game of Thrones will be based on the first half of author George R. R. Martin’s novel A Storm of Swords. The tome is the third entry in his popular A Song of Ice and Fire series.
In addition to the characters that will be returning for even more adventures next season, Game of Thrones is introducing a number of new faces to the cast. Ciaran Hinds, Thomas Sangster, Ellie Kendrick, Diana Rigg, and Clive Russell are just a few of the talented actors and actresses joining the fray.
The Inquisitr reported earlier this month that Coldplay drummer Will Champion has been tapped to appear in HBO’s acclaimed drama. Champion won’t stray too far from his roots; the musician will reportedly play a drummer in the upcoming season.
Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody recently stated that he too would be appearing in an episode of Game of Thrones. However, Lightbody is keeping details of his character close to his chest for the time being.
Unless something goes seriously wrong between now and then, the third season of Game of Thrones is slated to premiere on the pay cable channel on March 31, 2013. The aforementioned teaser trailer resides below.
