Music’s biggest stars will be hitting the red carpet in a couple of hours for the American Music Awards. The red carpet arrival party will be hosted by Kimberly Cole and Lance Bass.will be streamed live online.
The American Music Awards will feature performances from Taylor Swift, Usher, Pink, Pitbull, Christina Aguilera, Linkin Park, Nicki Minaj, No Doubt, Carrie Underwood and Ke$ha. The show will also include a special tribute to Dick Clark by Stevie Wonder.
According to USA Today , Nicki Minaj and Rihanna have the most nominations of any artist at this year’s award show. Minaj and Rihana have been nominated for four awards each, followed by Drake, Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, One Direction and Usher who were nominated for three awards each.
The winners will be determined by an online vote. Voting has ended for this year’s American Music Awards but you can check out the full list of nominees here.
Tonight will mark the 40th AMAs and the first without Dick Clark. Stevie Wonder, who has won 11 AMAs throughout his career, will play a special tribute to Clark during tonight’s show.
Ryan Seacrest, who was a good friend of Clark’s said:
“He was a mentor, friend and a wonderful advocate for popular music … It’s only fitting that one of music’s legends, Stevie Wonder, will play at Sunday’s tribute.”
