Chris Christie Stops By Saturday Night Live, Goes Off On NJ Mayors
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie stopped by Saturday Night Live this week to go after “stupid” New Jersey mayors who ignored his evacuation notices.
Christie appeared alongside Weekend Update host Seth Meyers. Christie also gave a shot out to “idiot” reporters who ran into the middle of Superstorm Sandy and to Seth Meyers who he apparently also found to be stupid.
Perhaps the best part of his cameo was discussion about the fleece he has been wearing for what appears to be three weeks straight. Christie joked of his favorite fleece outerwear:
“It’s basically fused to my skin at this point. I’m gonna die in this fleece.”
In attacking NJ mayors, Chris Christie proclaimed:
“I do not thank any of the stupid mayors who ignored my evacuation orders. You’re idiots. When you ignore me, it makes you look like a real Seth Meyers.”
The night at SNL was marked by politically motivated skits including a look into the life of disgraced military man David Petraeus.
Also appearing on the Jeremy Renner hosted SNL was Maroon 5 led by singer Adam Levin, who also appeared in a skit with Renner.
While critics have largely agreed that last night’s SNL fell a little flat, it is hard not to enjoy watching as Chris Christie attempts to act. Sure, his performance isn’t superb, but, none the less, it’s 100 percent the type of skit we would expect to see from the NJ Governor.
