Mia Farrow’s Brother Charged With Alleged Child Sex Abuse
Annapolis, MD – Police in Anne Arundel County Maryland have arrested John Charles Villiers-Farrow, actress Mia Farrow’s brother, on various charges in connection with child sex abuse allegations.
Multiple media reports indicate that two young men claim that they were sexually molested by Villiers-Farrow, their neighbor, from 2000 to 2009 when they were minors.
According to NBC Channel 4 in Washington, D.C., the charges against Villiers-Farrow, 66, are as follows: “… second- and third-degree sex offenses, two counts of perverted practice, two counts of second-degree child abuse, several counts of sex abuse of a minor, and two counts of second-degree assault. ”
NBC summarizes the alleged acts that led to the criminal charges against Villiers-Farrow;
“Court documents claim that the boys were abused in Villiers-Farrow’s home, and a few times in a nearby camper. The victims told police that Villiers-Farrow would show them pornographic movies. The encounters escalated to touching and then to oral sex, the documents said.”
Villiers-Farrow apparently surrendered to police on Wednesday night and is being held on $250,000 bond.
Law enforcement authorities suspect that there may be additional victims of alleged abuse by Mia Farrow’s brother and have set up a hotline phone number for any others to come forward.
Somewhat ironically perhaps, the Daily Mail of London points out that Villiers-Farrow made headlines in 1992 for blasting filmmaker Woody Allen for entering into a romantic relationship with Mia Farrow’s adopted daughter, Soon-Yi Previn. This turn of events of course led to a very acrimonious custody battle between Allen and Farrow over their other children.
