Quentin Tarantino Looking To Direct Fans In A ‘Django Unchained’ Video Game
Well, this is interesting. In the world of press campaigns Quentin Tarantino may have the most unique approach. Tarantino, who’s gearing up for the release of Django Unchained has decided to release an international website called TarantinoShootsYou.com, which will allow the director to interact with the avid video gamer for a very Django-y experience.
Fans of the director will be able to receive direction from Quentin Tarantino himself, and can create their own version of a Western environment in a shoot out set up. This of course, is in direct line with Django Unchained’s promotion. The film is a period piece set two years prior to Civil War happening. Jamie Foxx is said to play a slave who has a disturbing past with his former owners, which makes him go head to head with a German bounty hunter Dr. King Shultz, played by Christoph Waltz. Schultz then acquires Django and promises to free Django. Eventually he frees Django, but the two men stick together and go on a voyage to capture criminals side by side.
Of his upcoming film, Tarantino reveals that this film might be his final bow as a director. “I just don’t want to be an old-man filmmaker. I want to stop at a certain point Directors don’t get better as they get older. Usually the worst films in their filmography are those last four at the end. I am all about my filmography, and one bad film f–ks up three good ones.”
In addition to Foxx and Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Don Johnson will star alongside in Django Unchained. Django Unchained will hit theaters on December 25. Are you excited about the film?
