The 3G iPhone to be launched in June will support an enhanced camera that supports video, according to a source who contacted The Inquisitr.
The source would only say that iPhone supporting documents provided to outlets selling the phone spoke of video capability. He also confirmed that the iPhone would go on sale in Australia to coincide with the opening of the first official Apple store in Sydney in June (he didn’t mention the opening of the Chadstone or Chatswood stores).
Video has been a key feature lacking from the original iPhone, at a time competitors such as Nokia, and startups such as Qik provide the means to offer video, and live video to a growing audience.
I’d rate the source at about 75%. I was able to confirm independently that he was in a position to have seen the documentation (presuming it exists) but I have no other way of confirming the information.
