‘WWE Raw’ Results: 2 Title Matches Added To ‘Fastlane’ — Braun Strowman Dominant
After Sasha Banks gave an assist to Bayley during the main event of Monday Night Raw last week to help her win the Women’s Championship, Charlotte Flair took to Twitter to call the new champ out and demand that she forfeit the title. Of course, Bayley did no such thing. Instead, a rematch was scheduled for WWE Fastlane. Gallows and Anderson also found out that they would be defending the Raw Tag Team Championship against Enzo and Big Cass at Fastlane, after the latter defeated Cesaro and Sheamus in a No. 1 Contenders Match. With WWE Fastlane 2017 less than two weeks away — and WWE WrestleMania 33 just a few weeks after that — how long will Bayley, Gallows and Anderson be able to hold on to their titles?
NOTE: The WWE Monday Night Raw results were updated here in real-time as the show aired live, along with available video highlights and commentary. Any updates to the upcoming WWE Fastlane 2017 card were posted here as well.
WWE Monday Night Raw Results
The following includes the results of all the matches and segments from WWE Raw on February 20, which aired live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. In the final week of 2016, Raw lost the “ratings war” with the blue brand for the first time since the separate rosters were established. However, SmackDown LIVE hasn’t won again since the new year. As the red brand prepares for both Fastlane 2017 and WrestleMania 33, will a show headlined by Braun Strowman vs. The Big Show be enough to keep Stephanie and Mick’s winning streak alive against SmackDown LIVE on Tuesday nights?
Kevin Owens addressed Goldberg and ignored Chris Jericho
In the opening segment of this week’s Monday Night Raw, Universal Champion Kevin Owens was in the ring alone. He cut a promo about his upcoming title defense against Goldberg — whom Owens continually referred to as “Bill” — at WWE Fastlane, saying that he wouldn’t be making the same mistakes that Brock Lesnar made. He left the ring before giving any real explanation regarding his attack on Chris Jericho, who was absent from this week’s Raw.
Enzo & Big Cass defeated Cesaro & Sheamus
With a shot against Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson at WWE Fastlane 2017 for the Raw Tag Team Championship on the line, Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady defeated former champs Sheamus and Cesaro. After the match, as Amore was talking trash, Sheamus laid him out with a Brogue Kick.

Akira Tozawa vs. The Brian Kendrick never started
After Akira Tozawa told The Brian Kendrick that he didn’t like him on 205 Live last week, Kendrick responded by attacking Tozawa before their match on Monday Night Raw even started. Brian left the ring after delivering a pretty severe beating to Akira, without the referee ever ringing the bell.

Roman Reigns was disqualified against Gallows and Anderson
General Manager Mick Foley booked a Handicap Match that both Roman Reigns and the Raw Tag Team Champions requested. Reigns showed no interest in winning the match when he took a steel chair from Gallows and blatantly used it on his opponents in plain sight of the referee. He continued his attack on the tag champs after the match was over, sending a message to Braun Strowman for WWE Fastlane 2017.
The New Day defeated Rusev and Jinder Mahal
In what was easily the most cartoon-like segment of the show, Big E and Kofi Kingston got the win over Rusev and Jinder Mahal. Outside the ring, Xavier Woods got his hands on Lana’s iPad and destroyed it, because she had stolen the blueprints for their ice cream machine.

— WWE (@WWE) February 21, 2017
It was also announced that The New Day will be the official hosts of WrestleMania 33, which is a clear indication that they won’t be a part of the Raw Tag Team Championship scene anytime in the immediate future.
Jack Gallagher attacked Neville during their contract signing
In what was probably the second-most cartoon-like segment of the show, Jack Gallagher had tea and biscuits waiting for WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville. When Neville tried to the leave immediately after signing the contract, he was provoked by Gallagher to stay. Things got physical, and when Jack knocked Neville out of the ring with a vicious headbutt, he kept the champion at bay with his umbrella, William the Third.

Nia Jax defeated Sarah Pierce and called out Bayley
Nia Jax was the clear victor in a squash match against an enhancement talent by the name of Sarah Pierce. After the match, Charly Caruso interviewed Nia Jax in the ring. Jax made it clear that she wanted a shot at the Raw Women’s Championship.
Bayley refused to relinquish the Raw Women’s Championship — Charlotte Flair invoked her Rematch Clause
The controversy surrounding Bayley’s title win brought out Commissioner Stephanie McMahon, Raw Women’s Champion Bayley, and former champions Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair. After Bayley refused to give the title back to Charlotte, Flair said she would get her rematch at WWE Fastlane 2017.
.@MsCharlotteWWE and @StephMcMahon both requested that @ItsBayleyWWE relinquish the #RAW Women's Title. But would she? @SashaBanksWWE pic.twitter.com/W1efdwODN8
— WWE (@WWE) February 21, 2017
Given the prior comments of Nia Jax and the fact that Sasha Banks remains involved in the conversation, it seems likely that the Raw Women’s Championship Match at WrestleMania 33 will be a Fatal 4-Way.
Sasha Banks defeated Charlotte Flair
With two former Raw Women’s Champions already at the ring, Commissioner Stephanie McMahon decided to rekindle the rivalry with an impromptu match between Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair. While Bayley joined the commentary team, The Boss got a submission victory using The Bank Statement.

This outcome also points to a Fatal 4-Way Match at WrestleMania 33. If Charlotte recaptures the title at Fastlane, Bayley will invoke her rematch clause for WrestleMania 33. Having so recently defeated Charlotte on Monday Night Raw, Sasha Banks will be added to the match. Finally, since Nia Jax will likely remain undefeated between now and Mania, it would make sense for her to be added to the mix.
Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar called out Goldberg
In a prerecorded segment, Brock Lesnar’s advocate Paul Heyman let Goldberg know that it didn’t matter if he won the WWE Universal Championship from Kevin Owens at Fastlane. If he brings the title to WrestleMania 33, The Beast Incarnate will just add that to the list of things he’ll take from Goldberg at Mania, including his career.
Diamond Dallas Page was announced for the WWE Hall of Fame
Joining the likes of Kurt Angle, Teddy Long, and the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express, it was announced that Diamond Dallas Page will be joining the WWE Hall of Fame as part of WrestleMania 33 weekend.

Kevin Owens easily defeated Sami Zayn after Samoa Joe attacked him
General Manager Mick Foley booked a match between longtime rivals Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Samoa Joe attacked Zayn prior to the match, however, making it an easy task for the Universal Champion to defeat his former best friend.

Braun Strowman defeated Big Show and laid out Roman Reigns
After an impressive (although completely expected) victory over The Big Show, Braun Strowman was immediately faced with his WWE Fastlane 2017 opponent, Roman Reigns. Even after suffering Roman’s patented Superman Punch, Braun got the better of The Big Dog with a dropkick and his patented Running Powerslam (which he had already delivered to The Big Show twice).
The above WWE Raw results have been corroborated by WWE’s official Monday Night Raw page.
