Singer Christina Aguilera showed off her wild new look Tuesday night when she took to the stage on a live episode of NBC’s The Voice to perform a hit song off her seventh studio album, Lotus .
Wearing a multicolored Moulin Rouge style dress, thigh-high boots, and a pink afro complete with a crown, the 31-year-old pop diva bounced and strutted along the stage’s catwalk with co-judge Cee Lo Green as the two sang a collaboration titled “Make The World Move.”
“About to #MakeTheWorldMove with @CeeLoGreen on @NBCTheVoice tonight. You better not miss it!!!” Christina tweeted before the show.
After the over-the-top performance, Aguilera returned to her judge’s chair as her pupil Adriana Louise was sent home along with Team Blake singer Michaela Paige.
“‘Thank you for being everything that I could have wished for and more,” Louise tearfully said after being eliminated.
Despite the somber mood, Aguilera expressed her confidence in both Louise and Paige and reminded the pair that the competition was just a stepping stone to bigger and better careers.
“I’m such a lover of unique style and everyone is their own person. [I’m] supporting and appreciating that, so really there are no losers to me at all. How can you compare apples and oranges on certain levels?” Aguilera told Us magazine . “They’re all The Voice in their different ways and they’ll keep fighting from here and I’m sure this, as I say, this is only the beginning.”
