Heather Dubrow Reportedly Seeking Her Own Show On E!
Heather Dubrow shocked fans of the Real Housewives of Orange County when she announced she would not be returning for Season 12. After the last two seasons had been filled with some serious drama, she decided to walk away and do what she thought was best for her family. Dubrow’s statement made it seem like she would be focused on her businesses and family, though that may not be the case.
After being a reality television star for several years, Heather Dubrow may not be ready to hang up her crown. Her husband, Terry Dubrow, has a very popular show on the E! network called Botched. While he appeared on the Real Housewives of Orange County regularly, he was plenty busy with his plastic surgery business and television show. According to Radar Online, Heather Dubrow is working on snagging her own show. It reportedly will be running on the E! network where her husband has his show. It is a part of NBC Universal, the company which also oversees the Bravo network. Details are being kept under wraps, but the source reportedly confirmed there was something in the works.
News of a solo show for Heather Dubrow isn’t shocking. She had a lot of requests during the filming of the Real Housewives of Orange County and didn’t seem to enjoy the drama and surprise events that happened from time to time. Dubrow appears to like to have control over the way things are going and by doing her own show, she would have a lot more say in the direction things are headed. Her fans who were heartbroken at the news of her RHOC exit will be excited to hear that she may be back on the small screen in the very near future.
It will be interesting to see how Heather Dubrow’s former co-stars will react to the news of her jumping ship in order to work on her own show. Several fans have talked about wanting to see her and Terry Dubrow have their own show, something that likely has been in the works. Rumors are that Heather had been working on getting her own show for quite a while, but the process was sped up when the drama with Kelly Dodd happened last season on the Real Housewives of Orange County. Before the trainwreck that was last season, there was also the Brooks Ayers’ cancer drama, which really put the ladies over the edge.
The potential for ratings with a show focusing on Heather Dubrow is good. She has a huge following on social media and several fans from the Real Housewives of Orange County would likely tune in to check her out over on the E! network. The leak didn’t confirm whether or not this would be a reality-type show or be more focused on the Dubrow family and more scripted. Terry Dubrow is still going to be running his own show with Paul Nassif so it is unclear how active he would be if Heather did actually score a solo show.
If this is true and Heather Dubrow will be having her own show, more details will become available in the next few weeks. The idea that she left the Real Housewives of Orange County to spend more time with her family and focus on her businesses was something fans admired about her, but if she made the statement and jumped right into a solo show, there may be some backlash. As of now, nothing has been confirmed about a new show, but it seems likely. Heather Dubrow is a smart businesswoman, and if this looked like a lucrative deal, she would have jumped on it immediately.
