‘The Bachelor’s’ Corinne Is A ‘Poor Role Model’ Claims Former Bachelorette

Is Corinne Olympios a bad role model? The Bachelor’s newest villain is stirring up a lot of controversy this season, yet Nick Viall hasn’t given her the boot. Now, several former Bachelor stars are speaking out against Olympios for not setting a good example.

Us Magazine reports that Ali Fedotowsky slammed Olympios on her blog for being a poor role model for young girls. The comments come after Olympios’ victorious two-on-one date with Viall and Taylor Nolan, which naturally caused a lot of drama between the women. (Check out their first showdown in the clip below.)

Although Nolan came off as condescending on the date, Fedotowsky believes she was just trying to explain how the other contestants felt about Olympios’ actions. The comments, however, only made the situation worse as Olympios felt the need to retaliate.

“Corinne pushed every one of Taylor’s buttons, and she ended up being condescending in retaliation,” Fedotowsky wrote. “That’s why I get that some people feel Taylor was talking down to Corinne in general.”

Fedotowsky made it clear that she isn’t trying to target Olympios but feels a need to speak out as a mother. “I’m an adult and a mother, and it’s not in me to pick on a 24-year-old woman,” she explained. “But I feel that need to speak up on my blog when I feel Corinne is acting out. I guess kind of like what Taylor was trying to do at first.”

“I don’t want to put Corinne down, but at the same time, I don’t want any of the young women reading my blog to think that behavior is appropriate,” Fedotowsky continued.

Fedotowsky isn’t the only one speaking out against Olympios. People reports that former Bachelorette winner Ryan Sutter wants nothing more than to see Viall send Olympios home on The Bachelor. In fact, Ryan admitted that it’s time for Viall to get rid of Olympios and get serious about finding love.

“Eventually it has to get, like, serious if he wants it to get serious,” Ryan explained. “And she’s gotta go because she’s just a distraction.”

Despite being tagged as a villain this season, Viall doesn’t see Olympios in a negative light. In Viall’s recent People blog, the reality star opened up about why he likes Olympios and what sets her apart from the other contestants.

“Corinne is a woman full of life, and as she states herself, color. I love how assertive she is, and I admire the confidence that she has even under pressure. She never seems to lose sight of who she is,” Viall explained.

Viall also talked about his decision to give Olympios a rose and not Nolan. Viall thought Nolan was too fixated on Olympios’ bad behavior and didn’t put enough time into their relationship. “Giving Corinne the rose had just as much to do with saying goodbye to Taylor as it was to validate my relationship with Corinne,” he concluded. “After a pretty intense day, I was looking forward to some one-on-one time with Corinne.”

Of course, Olympios is also starting to wear down her fellow contestants. According to NY Mag, the other suitors got on Olympios for sleeping through the rose ceremony and not having the maturity level for marriage.

When confronted about the naps, Olympios sarcastically told the ladies, “I know that you were really upset about me falling asleep that day for some reason. I didn’t mean to offend anyone by taking that nap. I’m sorry for sleeping, guys.”

She later told the cameras, “Oh my god. Sorry guys. I napped. Michael Jordan took naps, Abraham Lincoln took naps, and I’m in trouble for napping.”

New episodes of The Bachelor air Monday nights on ABC.
