WWE Rumors: Roman Reigns Vs. The Undertaker At ‘WrestleMania’?
With all of WWE’s energies now focused on the upcoming WrestleMania, the latest WWE rumors, of course, focus on the creative plans of the different match-ups. One of the biggest matches on the WrestleMania card is the battle between Roman Reigns and The Undertaker. And while the match has gone through different creative avenues since it was first announced, the latest WWE rumors suggest that fans will finally be able to know what to expect.

According to the latest WWE rumors from WrestleZone, thanks to Reigns’ win over The Undertaker at the Royal Rumble, the idea of WWE creative using WrestleMania to have The Undertaker “pass the torch” to the Big Dog — essentially, giving him the opportunity to become like The Undertaker as one of the greatest heels in wrestling history — has been discussed.
And there’s no better time and place to do it than now, according to Vince McMahon and the rest of WWE creative, because The Undertaker’s health is in question, and there’s no word on how much longer he’ll be able to work in the ring. And while this move seems counter-intuitive to Vince McMahon’s plans to make Roman Reigns one of the biggest faces in the company, in the long run, Reigns will do better with a heel turn. And since there’s no better co-sign from the world of wrestling than The Undertaker, Reigns is certainly in for a good set-up when WrestleMania finally airs in March.

Some wrestlers are fully behind this decision, especially if it leads to an eventual Reigns heel turn. According to the latest WWE rumors from Give Me Sport, the legendary Stone Cold Steve Austin — who was one of the few fans of Roman Reigns being the 30th wrestler at the Royal Rumble — praised Reigns for being one of the best wrestlers in the WWE today, but pointed out that a heel turn was necessary for him as well.
“From a writing standpoint, that should ease some of the tension off the kid. He had a great job all night and worked his ass off with the match with KO and had a great match in the Rumble. It made me appreciate Roman in the spot that he’s in. I still want to see him be a heel. I think he’s going to be a tremendous as a heel if they ever go that way with him. But I like what Roman Reigns did the whole night.”

According to the latest WWE rumors from the International Business Times U.K., wrestling commentator Jim Ross agrees with Stone Cold and thinks that a heel turn after The Undertaker passes the proverbial torch is a good move.
“A great, ‘heel run’ will obviously do more for Reigns to be eventually become a major fan favorite than anything that WWE can seemingly do at this time. If Reigns were to defeat Undertaker at WM in Orlando, it would propel Reigns to the next level of villainy and a star would be born one has to assume.”
The Undertaker is reportedly still recovering from extensive hip surgery. Reports are claiming that he’s been in constant pain ever since he first underwent surgery, and this “passing of the torch” to Reigns is just as much for The Undertaker’s benefit as it is for Reigns’.
