Sears Black Friday sale starts on Thanksgiving evening this year. The department store is following the same pattern of a host of other major retailers and offering doorbusters not long after the turkey is cleared from the dining room table.
Although all the best deals may not be offered until just prior to the official start to the shopping season, Sears will also be giving customers the chance to enjoy steep discounts online beginning November 18. The sluggish economy and stiff competition for bargain hungry consumer dollars is rapidly turning Black Friday into Black November.
To enjoy the November 18 cyber sale, Sears shoppers must first join the “Sears Shop Your Way” club, ABC Action News reports. Retail industry experts predict that the very early sale will place the store in excellent pole position for raking in the most pre-Thanksgiving and pre-Black Friday cash.
The doors open at both Sears and Walmart at 8 pm on Thanksgiving Day. Target lags just a little behind, offering doorbusters at 9 pm. The BFAds.net website released the Sears Black Friday flier, sharing sale details with Christmas shoppers well in advance.
According to the Black Friday 2012 ad, 32-inch LCD HDTVs will be offered for just $97 each. The television’s brand name is not listed. Proscan DVD players will reportedly be offered at just $9 each. Some Kenmore refrigerators and washing machines are also supposed to be available at discounted rates during the holiday sale.
Black Friday shoppers can also reportedly earn $10 off any $40 clothing purchase during the morning hours. Ladies purses will also reportedly be available for 60 percent off the standard list price, some exclusions may apply.
