Ariel Winter’s Mom Says She Found Teen In Bed With Older Boyfriend

Ariel Winter of Modern Family has been in the news lately after it was revealed the 14-year-old actress had been removed from her home after allegations of abuse.

Chris Workman, Ariel Winter’s mom, later publicly refuted the claims made in court papers in the case, claims that alleged “ongoing physical abuse (slapping, hitting, pushing), and emotional abuse (vile name-calling, personal insults about minor and minor’s weight, attempts to ‘sexualize’ minor, deprivation of food, etc” precipitating the removal of the child star from her home.

Workman said Winter wanted to engage in a relationship with a young man for which she was not yet ready, and now the showbiz mom has spilled to Celebuzz about the case and Winter’s claims.

Celebuzz obtained a police report on the incident and spoke to Winter’s mom to follow up. According to Workman, she caught Ariel and an unnamed 18-year-old man in bed together, and the site quotes the showbiz mom:

“Workman told Celebuzz she ‘caught them engaging in behavior that I feel my daughter is too young mentally and physically to understand … I put a stop to it immediately … I filed charges against him because legally he is an adult and if he wants to engage in adult behavior with a minor than he should also be ready to suffer adult consequences for his actions and poor judgment.'”

Workman continued:

“I will not apologize for protecting my daughter, as she means the world to me and I will always be there for her and I will always protect her to the best of my ability until the day I die.”

A hearing in Ariel Winter’s abuse case is set for November 20.
