Michael Vick To Brother Marcus: Turn Off Twitter

Michael Vick was taken aback when he learned that his brother Marcus was demanding via Twitter that the Eagles trade the quarterback.

Two days after the Monday Night Football tweets, Michael Vick let it be known that he’s had enough. Vick has told his brother Marcus to “shut off Twitter” and keep the distractions away, ESPN reported.

As USA Today noted, Michael Vick’s brother Marcus took to Twitter during the Eagles loss to the Saints on Monday Night Football, blasting the team, coaching, and offensive line.

Marcus continued his series of tweets throughout the game:

“Please trade my brother. We requesting out of Philly!!!! Please please please……”

“This not even an NFL type of O-line. What happen to the hogs the Eagles had last year and year before? Call Winston Justice back n Jamal J”

“Finally a long run. D**n!! That’s the best hole the line opened up all year….. Wtf”

Though Marcus at one point wrote “we,” Michael Vick made it clear that his brother didn’t speak for him, Vick told CSN Philly.

The Twitter outburst came at a difficult time for Michael Vick. He has struggled with inaccuracy and turnovers as his team stumbled to a 3-5 record. Eagles coach Andy Reid noted that no player is safe in their job, a statement that many see directed at Vick, though he remains the starter for now.

Marcus Vick later apologized, and Michael promised that would be the last of his rantings.

“You’ll never see that again. Trust me,” Michael Vick said of his brother Marcus.
