‘Jurassic Park 3D’ Trailer Roars Online [Video]
A brand new trailer for the upcoming release of Jurassic Park 3D has been made available online, according to Deadline. The film opens in theaters next April.
Since people can’t seem to get enough of three dimensional movies, the folks at Universal thought it would be fun to convert Steven Spielberg’s classic dinosaur picture to the latest in cinema technology.
Although you may already own the film on DVD and Blu-ray, the studio is hoping you will shell out even more money to see the flick again on the big screen.
In case you haven’t heard, Jurassic Park is a 1993 motion picture about what happens when scientists decide to bring dinosaurs pack to life. The film stars Sam Neill, Richard Attenborough, Laura Dern, Joseph Mazzello, Ariana Richards, Wayne Knight, Samuel L. Jackson, and Jeff Goldblum as one of cinema’s most memorable scientists.
The film’s success at the worldwide box office prompted the studio to go back to the well on two separate occasions. Steven Spielberg came back for The Lost World: Jurassic Park in 1997, though it lost co-star Sam Neill and Laura Dern in the process. However, Neill would reprise his role as Dr. Alan Grant in Joe Johnston’s 2001 sequel Jurassic Park III.
People are still hoping that Universal will get around to putting together Jurassic Park 4 at some point in the near future. Once upon a time, director John Sayles was attached to the project. Conceptual artwork featuring a number of fantastical creatures from the project surfaced online last month.
Various reports have indicated that Steven Spielberg will return to the franchise as producer on Jurassic Park 4. Rise of the Planet of the Apes scribes Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver are rumored to be tackling the script.
According to Slash Film, Jurassic Park 3D will arrive in theaters on April 5, 2013. You can find the latest trailer for the film below.
