‘Modern Family’ Star Ariel Winter’s Mother Denies Claims Of Abuse
Now that news has hit the internet of Modern Family’s Ariel Winter’s abuse, her mother has stepped out and vehemently denied the allegations made by her 14-year-old daughter, Ariel.
Winter’s, who stars on the hit television show, Modern Family, has accused her mother of physically slapping her, and emotionally abusing her by calling her names. On October 3, in Los Angeles, Winter had filed papers detailing the “on going physical abuse (slapping, hitting, pushing), and emotional abuse (vile name-calling, personal insults about minor and minor’s weight, attempts to ‘sexualize’ minor, deprivation of food, etc.”
When asked about the allegations made by her daughter, Ariel, mother Chris Workman denied it all, saying, “it’s all untrue, its all untrue.” Despite there being no apparent truth, in the judge’s eyes, there was enough evidence to grant Ariel’s older sister, Shanelle Gray, temporary custody of Winter, and ordered mother Workman not to contact her daughter under any circumstances until further notice.
However, despite that judge’s rulings in California, Workman told PEOPLE, “I have my doctor’s letter that my daughter’s never been abused. I have stylists’ letters that she’s never been abused.”
According to the court order, the judge awarded custody of Ariel to Shanelle Gray until a follow-up hearing that will take place on November 20, and ordered that Workman shouldn’t contact Ariel until the pending court date.
Earlier in October, rumors started to swirl that Ariel Winter had filed for emancipation from her mother. The rumors concerning her emancipation was covered by the National Enquirer, and it was reported that she was seeking legal emancipation because she wanted to be with her older 17-year-old boyfriend. However, those rumors were unfounded.
As of right now a representative for Ariel Winter could not be reached for a comment regarding the whole situation.
