Ariel Winter: The ‘Modern Family’ Star Allegedly Wants To Divorce Her Parents
Ariel Winter, 14, of Modern Family fame, allegedly wants to divorce her parents. She plays the very intellectual teen, Alex Dunphy on the hit ABC show. Radar Online reports that Winter is attempting to garner legal emancipation from her parents Crystal and Glenn Workman.
The teen actress is allegedly furious at her parents for not allowing her to date Cameron Palatas. The 17-year-old A.N.T. Farm actor has reportedly been dating the Modern Family star for six months. A National Enquirer source had this to say about the teen star’s alleged desire to divorce her parents:
“Glenn and Crystal think Cameron is too old for their daughter, but Ariel wants a full adult romance with him — love, sex, everything – and she’ll stop at nothing to get it. Ariel’s so angry and determined to live her own life she’s sought out an attorney to get free of her mom and dad.”
Winter has reportedly been living with her older sister Shanelle Workman, a former One Life to Live cast member. Ariel is allegedly hoping to achieve the same success that Michelle Williams, Drew Barrymore, and Macaulay Culkin did when seeking emancipation from their parents.
Another supposed insider maintains that the Modern Family star is earning “good money” and doing well in school. The source claims that the teenager believes she should be able to make her own life decisions, even though she is barely out of middle school.
The San Diego native won a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series for her role on the television show. The award was shared by all cast members. Her first acting gig was a Cool Whip at a six, according to Wikipedia.
