Channing Tatum Could Be People’s Sexiest Man Alive

Magic Mike star Channing Tatum could be People magazine’s 2012 Sexiest Man Alive, according to Gossip Cop. However, nothing has been officially confirmed as of this writing.

“We never comment on who the Sexiest Man Alive is until the issue is revealed,” a representative from People magazine explained. However, all signs currently point to Channing Tatum being this year’s hunky winner.

Fans will have to wait until November 14 to see who, exactly, has been deemed by People to be this year’s Sexiest Man Alive. Given that Tatum starred in a box office hit which found him showing off his perfect physique, chances are the actor has secured the title.

Actor Bradley Cooper was deemed the Sexiest Man Alive in 2011, a fact which didn’t settle too well with Ryan Gosling fans at the time. Even Cooper himself said that the Drive star is a deadly handsome man. During his appearance on the BBC’s Graham Norton Show, Cooper described seeing a paparazzi shot of Gosling online.

“And it was of him walking around, and he literally looks like he’s in a photo shoot, like he just came off the runway. With, like, the peacoat … with the scarf, and there’s ones of me, and I literally look like the neighbor that never comes out of his house and when he does it makes you go, like, maybe he should just stay in,” Cooper joked.

If Tatum takes the title away from Gosling this year, then Ryan’s fans will surely pitch a fit.

Regardless of whether or not you feel Channing Tatum deserves to be People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive, it’s hard to deny the actor’s box office power. His summer drama Magic Mike, a movie inspired by his days as a stripper, was a surprise hit. When all was said and done, the film earned an impressive $113 million at the domestic box office.
