Michael Vick Not Happy With His Brother’s Rant On Twitter
Michael Vick isn’t too happy with his brother Marcus Vick, who decided to go on a Twitter tirade during the Philadelphia Eagles’ loss to the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football.
Marcus Vick unleashed a flurry of tweets during the game demanding Michael Vick to be traded out of Philadelphia, USA Today noted. Marcus also blasted the team’s offensive line and questioned what the team has been doing since bringing Vick on as quarterback in 2010.
Marcus continued his series of tweets throughout the game:
“Please trade my brother. We requesting out of Philly!!!! Please please please……”
“This not even an NFL type of O-line. What happen to the hogs the Eagles had last year and year before? Call Winston Justice back n Jamal J”
“Finally a long run. D**n!! That’s the best hole the line opened up all year….. Wtf”
Though Marcus at one point wrote “we,” Michael Vick made it clear that his brother didn’t speak for him. Vick told CSN Philly:
“He tweeted that during the game? I’m sorry. I’m unaware of that. That’s something I’m really going to have to address once I leave here. We’re out there fighting as hard as we can, giving it everything we’ve got, and that’s certainly not the case. I love each and every guy in that locker room, and if I could make every play right I would. I know they would do the same, so that’s certainly not the case.”
The critical tweets come at a time when Michael Vick is trying to focus on his on-the-field play rather than distractions. He has struggled as the team stumbled to a 3-5 record, and head coach Andy Reid has made it clear that Vick’s position as starting quarterback is not set in stone.
