Since Hurricane Sandy hit the tri-state area and New Jersey, it’s been asked where are the faces from the MTV Jersey Shore show that were made famous by the boardwalk, which has been ravaged by the storm. You no longer have to wonder, because JWoww, The Situation, Snooki, and the rest of the Jersey Shore gang are doing their part in helping the relief down by the boardwalk that held many childhood memories for its residents.
Although celebrities continued to do their part to aid people in need after Hurricane Sandy, the fist pumping group was noticeably absent from the media until now. MTV’s Jersey Shore cast is teaming up with a nonprofit group called Architecture for Humanity for a live telecast benefit that is scheduled to air on the MTV cable channel on November 15.
On MTV, the one-hour show called Restore the Shore will feature the familiar faces that graced the Jersey Shore show for numerous seasons. The rest of the gang will gather in MTV’s Times Squares studios with celebrity guests, which is where they will collect donations to aid the new foundation, Restore the Shore.
The money is said to go toward Architecture for Humanity’s efforts to rebuild the Seaside Heights boardwalk which was practically a character on the Jersey Shore as the cast got into fights, were arrested for public intoxication, and sold t-shirts at a hut on the boardwalk. The grants will be given to local contractors, and donations will be given to various businesses and residents who were left devastated earlier in the week.
New mother Snooki just so happened to appear today on Good Morning America for ABC’s Day of Giving, which was also set up in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.
Are you glad the Jersey Shore cast are giving back?
