Karrueche Tran’s Manager Slams Chris Brown Over Singer’s Claims That ‘Chrae’ Romance Made Ex-Girlfriend Famous

Karrueche Tran may have been slammed by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown for speaking out against the “Party” singer’s increasingly heated Instagram feud with rapper Soulja Boy, but it looks like Karrueche’s manager, Jacob York, is coming to his client’s defense as Brown continues to make bold public statements regarding his role in assisting Tran in achieving fame as a result of their tumultuous past relationship.

Earlier this week, Chris Brown and Soulja Boy ignited an intense social media battle after the “Crank That” rapper took to Instagram to suggest that Brown had threatened him after he decided to “like” one of Karrueche Tran’s photos on the social media site, thus prompting Brown to speak out against the rapper’s claims in a series of scathing Instagram posts.

While Chris Brown maintains that Soulja Boy wanted nothing more than to create an “imaginary beef” by falsely claiming that Chris confronted him over his decision to flirt with Karrueche on the social media site, Tran recently broke her silence after being placed in the middle of the duo’s increasingly publicized beef.

On Wednesday, Karrueche took to Instagram to weigh in with her thoughts on Chris Brown’s decision to feud with Soulja Boy on the social media site, revealing via a lengthy text post that being dragged into her ex’s latest social media spat is “draining” before calling the duo’s beef “ridiculous” and senseless.

“I just…okay..First off this drama between the both of these two is so ridiculous it makes no sense,” Karrueche began in her Instagram comment, as captured in a screengrab by the Shade Room. “We just brought in a new year and this what we doing?? Leave the extra’d out, rah rah shi. behind.”

Tran continued, “This isn’t cool or funny..it’s draining..not just for me..but for everyone. There’s so much more out there in life then [sic] ‘twitter beefs.’ But anyways..second off..trying. to. make. me. feel. poppin? You talking about your sold song ‘Poppin’? You know what makes me feel poppin? Getting up and going to set…walking in my apartment and seeing my Emmy with my name on it..giving away shoes and feeding the less fortunate..being able to provide for my family with my own $$..that’s what makes me feel good about myself.”

Karrueche then concluded her Instagram post by revealing that she’s been “chillen [sic],” “working,” “eating my veggies,” “hitting these squats,” and “minding my own business” before noting that her current lifestyle is “exactly how I want to keep it.”

Despite Tran’s insistence on being left out of Breezy’s social media drama, it didn’t take long for Brown to hit back with his own fiery comments, this time taking aim at Karrueche herself with an all-caps message that implies Tran was only able to achieve her fame and status as a result of the attention surrounding their on-again, off-again romance.

“NOONE ASKED FOR THIS OPINION!!!” Chris Brown began in an Instagram post shared to his official account. “IT AINT OVER YOU!! GIRL KEEP THE FAME YOU GOT AND STAY CLASSY! THIS MAN RANDOMLY STARTED THIS, NOW U GASSED!!! PLUGGING WHAT U GOT GOING ON!! HOW DO WE KNOW U AGAIN! AINT NO MORE CHRAE AND ALL THAT S***.”

“Did a gesture, being playful commenting under ya pics (NOTICE HOW MUCH ATTENTION YOU WERENT GETTING UNTIL I PUT ‘STILL WANT IT’ *side-eyes emoji* under ya picture. KARRUECHE IS 2 years famous. IM SO SICK OF N***** COMING AT ME LEFT AND RIGHT AND NOW SHE WANNA CHIME IN. NOBODY GIVES A F***.”

Brown further blasted his ex-girlfriend by claiming that she’s “living in [a] dream world” and that Tran’s friends only like her because of their past romance before going on to boldly claim that he even slept with some of Karrueche’s friends.

He revealed, “ALL YOUR FRIENDS ARE YOUR FRIENDS BECAUSE YOU WAS CHRIS BROWNS GIRL! AND THE OTHER FRIENDS YOU STILL TALK TO…I F******.”

It didn’t take long for fans to begin taking sides between Karrueche and Chris Brown’s differing positions on the situation, including Tran’s own manager, Jacob York, who took to Twitter to offer his thoughts on Breezy’s scathing diss towards his client before also hitting back at the “Grass Ain’t Greener” singer’s claims that he helped Karrueche achieve fame after their tumultuous split.

“Well I’m sure the blogs are happy, they’ve got their pound of flesh today,” Jacob York began in his Twitter post on January 4. “And now that the noise has calm [sic] down, I wonder if anybody notice the understones [sic] in everything that transpired?”

York then continued by shaming those on social media who feel that Karrueche Tran should have just “kept quiet” while being dragged into another one of Chris Brown’s social media beefs.

He explained, “Everybody that tweets me or comments that karrueche should have kept quiet whike [sic] being slick dissed, are entitled to their opion [sic], I disagree.”

“[The] reason y’all think she’s weak or donot [sic] have a voice is because [she] stayed quit for so long and takes the high road constantly,” York added. “I think if she took the low road like most, the respect for her would be different. That’s the world we live in today. Being a seasoned veteran of entertainment biz, it’s funny when people credit careers to dating someone, that has never made sense to me, how is that possible.”

Jacob York continued by questioning the logic behind Chris Brown’s sentiments towards Karrueche Tran, rhetorically asking, “So by your logic, you walk around with a celeb and magically win an Emmy or magically have a body of work?”

York then began subtweeting comments from fans on Twitter who continued to criticize Karrueche’s decision to speak out amid Chris Brown and Soulja Boy’s beef, revealing to one fan, “[When] I read [that] [Chris Brown] claims she was only famous for the past 2 years, he dated her for 5 [and] I started with her a little over 2 ½ years [ago].”

Jacob further noted that he could sympathize with Karrueche Tran’s haters’ claims if the actress would have joined shows such as Love & Hip Hop immediately after her split from Brown in 2015. However, York explains that Karrueche has remained solely committed to her own aspirations and career goals since ending her romance with Brown two years ago.

“Now I understand the arguments if Karrueche had joined love and hip hop right out of the relationship with her ex, but she didn’t and so the argumeant [sic] is slick hate by those that want to demean her,” Jacob continued.

Jacob then concluded his defense of Karrueche with the message, “Now if she went on a world wind [of] talk shows and joined a reality show then they can say it’s because of her ex, but no she decided to go to acting schools and classes and media training and study beauty & fashion and launch her own empire and career.”
